Alama Sea Village Resort in Lanta Island

The upper part of the room is cool and it feels like a tree house but the lower part (bathroom, where you change/keep your stuff) doesn't have AC and it's SO HOT. You take a shower and your instantly sweating and feel like you need another one. The design of the space is so poor and the sink doesn't drain. The pool is pretty but you're leaving money on the table by not serving alcohol- just saying!

We had similar issues on the first night with bed bugs. However the hotel offered to give us a new room and wash my clothes for free. We tested the new room and it was fine. The rooms are big and the pool is great. Location is also good. Fan in the rooms are good and so is the deck. Breakfast is terrible but there are plenty of other options right down the street. There is no alcohol served at they hotel (Muslim). Drains stink in the room. I was in the very top bungalow (015) and we had 2 nights that were very windy. The bungalow was shaking and it was hard to sleep. The other nights were fine and the view from that room at night was great.

Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this hotel. If you still can, cancel your reservation immediately. The sanitary conditions are the worst I have ever seen in my life. After noticing several bites on our bodies during the night, we discovered a bed bugs infestation. When we reported this, the staff literally laughed in our faces. Their only response was that they would "clean the room." Furthermore, during the discussion, we discovered that the staff had taken photos of our personal belongings during room cleaning on previous days. This is a massive violation of privacy and completely illegal. Because our health was at risk, we were forced to leave and find another hotel for our remaining nights, incurring extra expenses. To this day, we have received no refund and are still in a dispute with the hotel and Booking.com. The staff showed zero empathy and total disrespect, even after seeing the state of the mattress with their own eyes. Other major issues: • The rooms were dirty and towels were often stained. They aren't changed daily; I had to ask three times just to get fresh ones. • The local staff speaks no English. Any issue must be handled via WhatsApp with the owner in Bangkok, whose English is also very poor. • The bathroom is practically non-existent, separated only by two dirty plastic curtains. • Breakfast was very mediocre. Almost no sweet options, and the croissants were industrial-made. • Absolutely no services are free (bikes and scooters are extra). • Terrible value for money. We paid nearly €200 per night only to end up with health risks and zero respect for our privacy. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. YOUR HEALTH AND PRIVACY ARE AT RISK.

Nice view from the swimming pool. That's all. Staff has no idea of speaking in english, and not giving you welcome at the reception. Breakfast decent. Room not so clean, especially the bathroom. Staff at the restaurant stays on facebook instead of serving you. More than 135€ a night for that? WASTING MONEY. I Am staying here 4 nights. One more thing: at the restaurant you have to pay cash and for paying with Credit card you have additional 4%. It means for four nights about 500€ plus 20€ for no reason. Plus you have no tel in the room and the road is very very dark at night. Don't waste money. Last thing : you need 50 minutes to reach the "resort" from the Pier. Really costy.

Amazing that absolutely no one here speaks English! Ordering an iced coffee is a problem. In a 3 star hotel! On an island that lives because of foreign tourists!!!
Oh, and the breakfast... dreadful. My recommendation is to skip it and get early lunch somewhere else.
