Bangtao Village Resort in Bang Tao

I booked this resort in June 2024 planning to stay three months and paid for the first month up front. On day two, housekeeping came while I was training Muay Thai next door. I hadn’t been given a key for the in-room safe upon arrival, and when I returned, my gold chain was gone. I knew exactly where I left it and searched every inch of my bags and the area of where I left it and asked staff immediately. No one admitted to seeing it. Management offered no real help, and even after going to the local police, nothing was done (the police basically brushed me off since I’m not a local).

On top of that, the beds were really stiff and Wi-Fi was terrible, and the resort refused to refund the rest of my stay after I no longer felt safe keeping my things there. Customer service was dismissive and unhelpful.

If you’re looking for a secure, reliable place to stay, look elsewhere — this place won’t take responsibility when something goes wrong.
