Coconut Village Resort in Patong

This is my first time staying at a hotel where I had to pack up and find another place to stay overnight, so I absolutely must give it a bad review.

1. Let's start with the main point – it's incredibly, incredibly, incredibly noisy. We booked two tropical houses for four people, and they put us in rooms facing the street. My parents' room, especially, was at the very end on the second floor. They told the front desk the next day that they hadn't slept well and asked to switch rooms. They were moved a few rooms forward from the end. To ensure our elders could rest well, we proactively let them stay on the first floor. Well, guess what, even with earplugs, the first-floor room was barely tolerable, but the second floor was impossible to sleep in, even with earplugs. Several times in the middle of the night, despite being exhausted, I was woken up by the roaring traffic and street noise. I was almost having a nervous breakdown, only getting about 2 hours of sleep. At 4 AM, I started packing and booked another hotel.

2. The room type is old, and the air conditioner rattles. With the traffic noise outside and the AC noise inside, it was truly miserable.

3. The bathroom sink had swarms of flying ants, which was really unpleasant.

4. Breakfast was very ordinary, mostly bland Western-style food, no special features, and not much taste.

5. When the hotel front desk learned we wanted to check out, their attitude was very cold. They just said we could change rooms but couldn't get a refund or anything like that, which is an extremely unfair policy. I recommend that no Chinese people stay here. They give good rooms to Westerners but arrange the farthest street-facing rooms for Chinese guests, and they deal with complaints passively. Running a business like this really shows a lack of integrity.

The place was shabby. The balcony only offered a street view, and it was incredibly noisy from evening till morning. We immediately switched hotels for the second night!!!
