Exotic Bungalows in Chang Island

Friends, we're not picky at all; we like to save money and often stay in inexpensive hotels. The Exotic Hotel died about 20 years ago; I've never seen such a disgusting hotel. Don't stay there! The bed in the room smells of homeless people and mold, the bed linens are terrible, stained, as if they were washed without detergent. The air conditioner is probably 200 years old, so it only disperses dust, but doesn't cool the room. There are so many small creatures in the room that I thank God I wasn't eaten in one night. There are actual worms crawling along the walls in the bathrooms, like some kind of slugs, and all sorts of other vermin. To say that there are just harmless ants crawling around in the room is an understatement! The bamboo bedside tables were absolutely covered in ants, as if they were their home. There was an equal swarm on the floor, but most importantly, on the bed!!! I shook them out, killed them with my hands, and covered the bed with clean towels. I don't think they ate them overnight, but it was terrible, disgusting. And about the lighting in the room: it was so dark, probably done on purpose so as not to see all the dirt. We walked around the hotel grounds, and it felt like we were the only ones there. You couldn't tell that anyone lived there. Everything was very dirty, the neighbors' spray cans hadn't been cleaned, and there were three scorpions swimming in the pool. I have nothing bad to say about the owners or the staff. We were greeted by a very smiling and friendly employee. But that doesn't solve the problem. The hotel should close down or clean up!!! We checked out the next morning and moved to a nearby luxury hotel, which was also cheaper.

Everything was so dirty outside, swimmingpool is a joke. You can not swim on it. Staff.. What staff? You never see anyone. Location is ok.

Very average accommodation for and way overpriced

No manger at property, (told he was hungover somewhere & couldn't be contacted) So blokes sat at the bar drinking on their holiday helped instead, showed us to a room, he had no idea about safe key, how the tv worked, no water in room, no mugs, cold shower
(on day 2 the CLEANER went to the shop & bought water for us)
TV never worked, left off, no one sorted it. Hole in bathroom ceiling, towel rack hanging off wall. Apartment lock also disconnected from door, very unsafe.
Bed was APPALLING full of painful springs.
Room not cleaned for 3 days, had to ask for towels, even with sign left on door. Swimmng pool disgusting, no human should enter it.
1 bin for whole room, overflowing never emptied, room never serviced.
This accommodation was disgraceful even for Thailand standards, it should simply be closed down, for cleaning & maintenance.
Nobody should stay here.

Worst accommodation we have ever stayed in!!!
Very dirty! Catastrophic mattress! Rooms stink!
In nine nights, the room was not cleaned once.
Towels were only changed twice on request.
Rooms were not clean when we moved into them either!
Check-in was only possible at around 6 p.m.
Pool cannot be used either (totally dirty).
Barely any water comes out of the shower.
The reception is a bar, but it is only open in the evening and the music is on full blast until 4 a.m., so you can't sleep.

There was also loud construction work several times a day until after 10 p.m.
The pictures of the accommodation are real, but are so old and pixelated that they give a better impression than you would expect on site!

Absolutely cheeky and very disappointing :(
