The Secret Service in Bangkok

I honestly had such a bad experience staying here, and I feel like people should know. From the very first day, the way we were treated was awful. It felt like they didn’t want us there. The staff was so rude to us, and I couldn’t help but feel it was because we’re Asian. When other foreigners came in, they were greeted with a big smile and a cheerful “hello,” but for us, it was just rude looks and a bad attitude.

The mornings were unbearable too. It was so noisy every single day. My friend stayed in a room on the first floor and told me she couldn’t sleep because the owner’s child kept shouting loudly all the time. It felt like they didn’t care at all about the guests’ comfort.

One thing that really upset me was when my boyfriend was smoking in a public space near the restaurant next door (not even in front of the hotel). The owner came out and rudely told him to stop, saying her son was playing upstairs. I mean, come on! He wasn’t even near the hotel. It was a public area!

To top it all off, the room was terrible. They gave us an extra bed that was disgusting—it had hair and dust all over the mattress. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable, so it was impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

Honestly, this place isn’t worth your money or the frustration. The way we were treated and the overall experience was just awful. I’d never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Multiple issues with this location.
- Family got multiple bug bites. Not sure from mosquitoes or something else.
- Lobby is not open 24 seven. You don’t even have access to it during the day unless you call them and ask.
- No microwave or hot water available.
- Difficult to get English speaking service.

All the said, they will not issue a refund for the remaining days. We’re leaving anyways and disputing it with our credit card company.
