Nine Place BTS Ekamai – Hostel in Bangkok

I want to put in a word for Nine Place because I've been a long-stay resident for many years.

All the amenities are OK: Air conditioning, WiFi, hot water, mattress, power sockets, good locks, everything is good. You won't get a mint on your pillow here -- but you're not paying five-star prices, either!

However, for me, the overwhelming advantage is that the hotel is quiet and safe. Nine Place is located on a small soi with a lot of other Thai people., so there are always "eyes on the street" (and no noisy tourists playing loud music).

Khlong Toei is also a bit of an up-and-coming neighborhood. There's a new food hall with Thai food right across the street. There's an even newer PTT shopping center a block away, with more upscale food, an IT store, a pharmacy, gas, etc. And if you want more, Sukhumvit is a five-minute ride away by Grab or motorcycle.

Finally, I want to say a good word for the staff, who have also been at Nine Place for a long time, and are hardworking and willing. (They have no English, but gestures and Google translate do the trick.) They do my laundry and throughly clean my room, and that's worth every one of the not very many baht I pay them. Plus, my stuff is safe with them.

If' you're a foreigner looking for a safe, quiet long-stay base in a good location at a great price, Nine Place is very hard to beat

I was looking for a place that I could rent long-term (45 days) and also day by day around Phra Khanong or Onnut later. I asked my friend to call in Thai language. I could not find any until I just happened to find Nine Place 40. I have known Rama 4 and Ekkamai BTS station for a long time, so I decided to rent a room there.
My decision was just correct. Although, I arrived there at around 4 am, we could find a solution to pick up the keycard. The room was clean enough it has a huge window. The bed was neatly prepared for a well deserved sleep. Everything worked well.
The place is very quiet because it is inside a small road that is a cul-de-sac. It is 12 minutes walking distance far away from BTS Ekkamai, a few bus stops far away from Lotus and Big C, easy access to highway by bus. There are many good restaurants and awesome streetfood places in the nearby. This place has washing machines (working with coins), drinking water station and space where you can hang out your washed clothes. All the other similar places do not have any space to hang out clothes. This place offers coffee, the use of rice cooker, the use of a microwave oven for free.

The price is really unbeatable. A big thing! There is NO deposit. Before negotiating about the 2 weeks rental fee, I looked around if I can find any better option. I wanted to meet the owner and asked, if we can reduce the price for the two weeks. She agreed, I did not have to pay one month fee.

I met the owner several times. I received not only coffee from here, but also a very tasty tea that she prepared. If I had questions, she has been always very helpful. I think if you are on a tight budget and you need a quiet place in Bangkok near to BTS and subway, this is a great place. I only can recommend it.

If u are a traveller of this budget, you will not get better than this, in this area.

I was stayed there for a night . Its a nice place actually . I recommend this place also for a group , couple friends. Nice to stay here .

Great accomodations, furniture is simple and safety is never to worry. Great hotel, as a beginer this is a great start.
