G9 Bangkok in Bangkok

SKIP this hotel- It is a huge disappointment. After arriving, we were told the room we booked was “not available” .. and instead were given a concrete jail like cubicle with black dirty smears on the walls, ripped up, shredded bath mat -overall - very distasteful.
I advised the Staff that this room was unacceptable - as well- - it was NOT the room we booked!
We were told it was the best room available…
In the morning we saw that the room down the hall - (that we originally booked )was available.
After speaking to the SAME staff person as the night before/ she RELUCTANTLY gave me the key to the room we actually booked in the first place.

This Hotel could be so much more - it has a fairly good location if you want to go to Chatuchak park and Market .
It has clean Hallways and a cute little open air Lounge near the roof…
A new paint job -and some new towels would be a huge improvement-

It is so sad that a paying customer has to argue with the staff just to get the room they booked and paid for in the first place … I have included a photo of the ripped and shredded bathmat, the “view” from our room.

I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel.

Guys we stayed in G9 Bangkok Hotel by 5th Feb 2025.

As we expected as the budget its just okie.

Restrooms have to improved.

Its far distance from clubs & pubs.

Its better to avoid online booking & just walk-in, check & book the rooms.

Location is good, just infront of chanel 7 but the rooms are all old with a smelly bathroom. Not recommend for a long stay.

Skip. Close to Chatuchak park. Rooms are old no TV no free coffee packets no water boiler basically get nothing but an ancient room which smells a bit and has been updated in decades.. It can be less than $20 US mid week. However there are better hotels for the same price in the area shop around skip this place.

Only stay here if you need to be close to the bus station early in the morning. Yes, it will get you through the night but there are must better options around. The common areas seem to be well kept and look appealing.

The rooms however, could use some work. The walls were very grimy and could definitely use a repainting or serious cleaning. The faucet sprayed all over the place. We seriously were not sure if we were sleeping on a box spring or a mattress since it was so hard. There were ants in the bathroom. The switch to the bedside light was very difficult to fidget with to keep the light on. The other bedside light needed the bulb to be screwed in to turn on. There are some strange windows above the door to the hallway which lets all of the common area light into the room, making it impossible to make the room dark.

I am not one to complain about places (look at all of my reviews) but this place could use some work.

Bathroom in sewer smell coming up smelling awful.
Location as the beach is not easy and hard to find.
