There was one other big downfall, and that was, if you wanted to go to bed early.Don't count on it because they always had a live band going on at the bar. Breakfast was good, and the gym was surprisingly (really) good for a hotel gym. The only downside is that you can easily run out of weights, for example, the heaviest dumbbells are only 50 lbs. This hotel is a hidden gem, centrally located in the Erawan Shrine area, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. There's a night market right outside the hotel, so it was convenient. However, driving is a nightmare around there since there's too much traffic. Also, their parking lot is supposed to be open until midnight, but the lights were already turned off by 6 p.m.

I think the hotel has good bones. The aesthetic of the lobby and the exterior of the guest rooms are quite nice. However, it's definitely showing its age. I booked a Luxury Skyroom, but upon arrival at the front desk, I was downgraded to a Luxury Room without any explanation. The 14th floor, being a lower level, was incredibly noisy. The roar of motorcycles made it impossible to sleep, and the windows offered virtually no sound insulation.

The hotel environment is really nice. Lying in the hammock at night with a breeze blowing was very pleasant. There's a Lawson convenience store right next to the lawn, and a little cat at the entrance that would 'mug' everyone, meowing at anyone who passed by. Went up to the 7th floor of Icon Siam to absorb the fantastic view of the river in the evening BUT later find out that the hotel had an even better spot right on the river bank and a closer view of the passing cruise boats.Can hear the music the were playing onboard.
