I stayed one night at the 'five-star' Dusit Thani Pattaya, and the experience honestly made me question if those five stars were photoshopped.
My room was on the 3rd floor, with windows overlooking a green belt – absolutely no view. The entire floor felt dim and damp, like a basement, and the moment I opened the door, I genuinely thought I'd mistakenly walked into staff quarters. Even with the main lights on during the day, it felt gloomy, and at night, it was like being in a storage room with terrible lighting.
The bathroom design was just ridiculous. The shower area required standing inside the bathtub, which had high, slippery edges. Showering felt like performing a high-wire balancing act, and I was constantly worried about slipping and doing the splits mid-air. The toilet? A very traditional, non-smart model, with even the basic flush being weak. I'd often have to flush twice to get it clean. It's truly hard to believe this is a 'five-star' hotel in 2025-2026.
The bedding was equally disappointing. The pillows were as thin as two stacked biscuits; I had to fold both to get any semblance of height, and I woke up with a stiff neck as if I'd slept awkwardly. The mattress was so soft and saggy that every time I turned over, I felt like I was sinking into a pit. My sleep quality was zero.
But the most absurd part was the minibar. It was fully stocked, looking luxurious at first glance. However, everything was chargeable, with no complimentary first round of drinks. What's even worse – the prices weren't displayed directly! You had to scan a QR code with your phone to access the system and see them. After scanning, I found a bottle of water was more than double the price of 7-Eleven. This 'hide-and-then-gouge' tactic is truly low-class.
Considering the current prices at Dusit Pattaya, the facilities, service details, and value for money absolutely do not justify the cost, let alone the 'five-star' label. This is not what a five-star hotel should be; it's more like using the five-star brand as a joke.
I strongly advise against it. I'd rather pay a bit more and go elsewhere than waste money and ruin my mood here.

The hotel's location is fantastic – right on the beach, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, making it super convenient to get around. The room was quiet and comfortable, perfect for a good rest. Really great!

Pattaya has so many hotels, and I chose Dusit Thani because of a long-standing desire. Back when I was in China, whenever I'd look for resorts in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang region, Dusit Thani would always pop up, but I'd always pass because it was too expensive. I loved its Southeast Asian style and service, so when I came to Pattaya this time, I decisively booked this established five-star hotel. It really didn't disappoint me much; aside from the slightly dated facilities, everything else was perfect. Both the service and the scenery were excellent. The hotel is right on Pattaya Beach, with direct access to the beach from the public areas on the first floor. Step out the main entrance and you're right at Terminal 21, making it incredibly convenient for shopping malls and night markets. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the taste is pretty good.

The hotel's environment is fantastic, very close to the beach, and it even has its own private beach with plenty of lounge chairs – perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. The hotel boasts three swimming pools to cater to all age groups, plus a Jacuzzi pool.
The location is superb, directly across from Terminal 21 shopping mall, and the famous sunset photo spot road is also nearby.
Service was quite good; staff members consistently greeted us whenever we met.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Terminal 21 shopping mall, and it has a private beach. The surrounding facilities are very convenient, and the service is also great. The room was spacious and the water pressure was excellent. The best part is its quiet location, right next to a shopping mall and night market, with bus stops in both directions—truly a fantastic spot. Breakfast was a bit average. There were plenty of snacks in the room, and since no prices were listed for them (aside from the drinks), I assumed they were complimentary, but they were charged at checkout.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and grand, and it's right next to Beach Road. They have a private beach, and you can choose to have breakfast by the beach or in the restaurant, both offering a wide variety of options. The room facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is quite good.

I and Husband stayed here from December 31st to January 2nd, 2026, to celebrate the New Year. Although we have stayed here many times before, this check-in was quite hectic and unexpected. We had booked a Club Room King, but upon arrival, we was informed the room category was fully booked.
However, the situation was handled exceptionally well. The team found an alternative room for us and offered a room rate discount as a gesture of goodwill and compensation for the error.
We would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Amorntep Treepon (Manager - Dusit Club) and the Front Office Team Lead (apologies for not catching the name) for their professional assistance. Thank you for taking such good care of us and for your swift, professional problem-solving. It’s service like this that keeps us coming back.

The location is excellent as it provides direct access to the beach, and I really enjoyed the variety of swimming pools available. However, the facilities are a bit dated and show their age. The biggest downside was the noise from both inside and outside the hotel. Especially in the ocean view rooms, the proximity to the road leading down to Beach Road meant I was frequently woken up by the sound of motorcycles in the middle of the night.

We had another wonderful visit to the playroom at the hotel today. A big thank you to Khun Sera, Ae, Sandy, Honey, Naew, and Cherry for their warm hospitality and friendly spirit. They always make the space feel welcoming and fun for the children.
We’ve stayed here several times and truly enjoy the facilities, the excellent service, and the great location. The hotel is right next to the beach, with just a small road in between, and it’s also very close to shopping malls and restaurants, which makes everything so convenient.

We recently booked a family stay at the Holiday Inn Pattaya, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for our trip.
The kids club was actually one of the main reasons we selected this hotel, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. It wasn't crowded during our stay, which meant our child received plenty of attention and had a fantastic time. This feature alone made our decision worthwhile.

Level 4 Kids Club is amazing. There are two separate zones for toddlers and little ones, which is fantastic. There’s also a kids’ pool right next to the club and a large pool downstairs, making it very convenient.
The staff member Neaw is wonderful—she always keeps us informed and makes sure the room is tidy. Honestly, every staff member here is amazing.
However, the socks sold at the kids club are quite expensive, and it would be helpful if the lobby staff informed guests in advance that anti-slip socks are required to enter the kids club.
