Sawasdee Place Hotel in Pattaya

Good location, easy to get transports like songtao, grab and taxi. 7/11 very near.

However, do not be fooled by the beautiful photos of the hotel. Actually, hotel is quite messy, dusty, old and run down. Our room furniture was very dated, bathroom door was broken and holes covered with masking tape, chair was also broken in room. The view from my room was an abandoned land with lots of mosquitoes.

Despite having a lift, we had to climb 2 sets of additional stairs with 2 baby strollers to reach the room which was on the other side of the building after taking the lift, which is not mentionned any where in the description of the hotel.

When I asked the lady on the reception (I guess she was the owner) if I could get a room with easy access due to baby strollers, she kindly offered me another room but at an additional cost of 800 Baht. She also proposed to leave the trolley in the reception area, which I didnt do for obvious reasons.

Big red flag. No wifi/extremely weak connection in the room 319. When we asked the lady, again she happily answered to come in the lobby for proper wifi. I can't leave baby sleeping alone in room and go in lobby for with.

Room air-conditioner had a weird smell and left us all coughing and sneezing. Room service also never cleans under the bed since it is very dusty.

We booked a triple room, and we got 2 towels only. When I asked, the same lady kindly said that I might have left 1 somewhere out of the room, when I denied, she said that two towels is ok to use in a tripple room. However, the housekeeping lady happily came to deliver 1 towel after my complaint.

I hope the hotel do a complete refurbishment soon.

There were ants and dung in the room, the floor was not clean, there was a bad smell, there was no hair dryer. But the service staff is good. Smiling brightly.
