The hotel is severely overpriced; it's not worth the money.

Wonderful place to stay here. The place is beautiful, so close to the sea and the staff really go out of their way to make you comfortable. Lots of activities in the area, secluded and peaceful! Can't wait ti stay here again!

I truly appreciated the warm, service-minded attitude of the team—especially the Front Office staff and Khun Alex, who were absolutely outstanding.
The complimentary bead bracelet given at check-in was such a charming and thoughtful touch—I loved it!
In-room amenities were carefully curated and genuinely impressive. The large woven tote bag, plush slippers, and soft bathrobes made the stay feel extra comfortable, while the coffee machine added a luxurious touch that far exceeded expectations for this price point. Although the property shows signs of age, I believe a renovation or a few thoughtful updates would significantly elevate the overall guest experience.

Beautiful hotel and resort, room nice and clean location was perfect not to busy but nice and balanced. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always smiling and happy to see you. Chai at the Zanzibar was extremely welcoming, both Chai, the chap that works on the scooters (and does most things) and the adopted hotel dog Pe Bo made our stay unforgettable. There is a fabulous night market 10 minute scooter ride most evenings definitely worth a visit.

Very nice hotel with 5 star service and facilities.

Great location within minutes walk from sky train and restaurant areas. Great rooftop pool with great view of Bangkok skyscrapers. Big comfortable room in a quiet area. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot / location. 

We found the room very basic but it was as described (imagine a wooden tree house on two floors and that’s what you get). We did find that the room (hut 28) we had was almost the last to be renovated. I say that because every morning from 6am the building team were onsite drilling and and cutting up wood. I’m sure once the rooms are all updated they will be great.

The shower however was not great. It wasn’t even good. It was more of a running trickle and would often just cut out. 

Location was nice to be but the water especially for sunset and the free kayaks were a nice touch

Starting with the positives, Tolani resort has really friendly staff who bent over backwards to make your stay pleasant. It also has beautiful rooms our bungalow was clean and comfortable with good aircon and a very comfortable bed. It gave a feeling of luxury though the water pressure in the shower was really bad. It’s outside of the rooms that this resort falls flat.

Tolani is positioning itself as a luxury resort and with a high price point to match but for the money it doesn’t deliver. The resort is supposedly on the beach but in reality the beach is not easily accessible from the resort. You can climb over rocks and swim over to the beach but it’s not easy. This means you will not have any sun loungers on the beach which can be an issue as the pool area is very small with only a handful of beds there. It’s also what you want from a beach front resort.

The food at the resort including breakfast is very poor but very expensive. Thankfully there are great restaurants nearby but we didn’t have a single good meal here. Drinks and food are massively overpriced for the island too.

We also had a poor experience at checkout. We had given our scooter back to the hire place but needed to head to the shops and so my wife asked if it was possible to get a taxi. A kind member of staff offered to run her up the road quickly in their car which we assumed was just a kind gesture. On checkout they charged us 15 euros for this trip. That’s an outrageous price for a 5 minute ride down the road but it also wasn’t communicated to us that we would be charged at the time as we wouldn’t have agreed. When we challenged this they told us we had to pay. It left a really bad taste in the mouth and it showcased this place is mainly looking to make money off its guests and not about creating a good experience.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because there are better resorts for the price point and the food and facilities are both sorely lacking. The lovely staff are not enough to save the price gouging happening here.
