Disappointing 3-Night Stay – Major Hygiene and Staffing Issues!

I recently stayed at this resort for 3 nights, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of a premium hotel standard.

Here are the main issues I encountered during my stay:

Hygiene & Pests: The breakfast area was constantly plagued by mosquitoes and flies. I even caught a fly landing directly on my breakfast bowl (see attached photo), which was highly unappetizing. Furthermore, there were lizards crawling in both the public corridors and inside the guest rooms.

Disappointing Breakfast: There were very few vegetarian options available. To make matters worse, the buffet was completely repetitive with the exact same items served every single morning. Even live counter had only 2-3 options.

Missing Amenities: Basic room amenities were lacking. No dental kit was provided in the room, and when I requested an iron, the front desk informed me they did not have one available. They even refused provide extra pillow.

Severe Understaffing: Service was frustratingly slow. Whenever we asked for assistance or basic items, we were told they were short on staff and were forced to wait for long periods.

The hotel failed to pick us up at the airport. After much waiting, we found our own place at to the hotel. The location advertised that it was a 10 min walk to the beach. Upon arrival, we realized that was not true. The bedrooms are outdated and had rock hard beds. The receptionists did not speak English well and we have several communication issues. The location felt like it was in a slummy place. If you are travelling to Krabi, make sure you stay closer to the beach. This location was inaccessible and required us to taxi to the beach.

We recently stayed at Andaman Breeze Resort and, unfortunately, it was quite a disappointing experience. The hotel looks mostly like the photos online, but it quickly becomes clear that they’re cutting corners everywhere possible. They tried to charge us extra for almost everything — even a spare sheet for our toddler (under 3!). Upon departure we were also asked to pay extra 300bht because one towel got apparetnly 'extra' dirty from cleaning up spilled milk.

The facilities are rather outdated, and while things technically match the pictures and could be a great pleace, they feel worn and tired. Some of the bed sheets had stains, which was quite unpleasant. Each room gets only one key card, so you have to take it with you — turning off the AC every time you step out. The common areas are also uncomfortably warm, as the main AC is switched off and doors are left open to create a natural draft instead.

The location itself isn’t too bad, but you definitely need a scooter or some means of transport to get around. The hotel does provide a small shuttle service twice a day, which is handy, but not enough if you plan to explore freely.

Overall, this place feels like it’s focused more on saving money than on guests’ comfort. It’s a shame, because with better cleanliness, maintenance, and a bit more generosity, it could have been a pleasant stay.

After stay 1 night, I like the hotel,
So next morning,
I tried to booking online 2 weeks more and
asking " Can you give me high floor room?"
but
The receptionist (Thai old lady) do not try to understand what I said.
Just keep saying "I am not sure"..

So I worried they can give 2nd floor room (very noisy)
and just check out hotel ^^

The receptionist here are really not helpful.
So arrogant and stubborn Thai old ladies^^
