My stay at J Hotel Ao Nang was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. There were small insects crawling all over the room, including on the bed. It was incredibly unhygienic and made it impossible to feel comfortable or relaxed. I have attached photos because this situation is simply unbelievable.
Housekeeping is another joke. You must hang the “clean my room” sign, otherwise nothing gets done. And even when you do, they only change the bedsheets and empty the trash. That’s it. Spider webs remain in the corners, dust is everywhere, and under the bed is something you really don’t want to look at.
This is not proper cleaning by any standard. For a hotel, this level of hygiene is unacceptable and frankly disgusting. I would never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you enjoy sharing your room with insects.
Very disappointing experience.
We stayed here for 5 days, and this is by far the worst staff behavior we have experienced. The room had no view at all—the window was right next to an adjacent building wall, so there was no sunlight, no view, nothing. Be prepared to feel claustrophobic.
We were given a twin-bed room, even though we are a family of three with a 1-year-old child. We requested a king room with a better view, but our request was completely ignored. On the second day, I asked if the beds could be joined using a bed filler, and the staff told us to do it ourselves.
There is no lift, and the staff do not help with luggage, so be prepared to carry all your bags on your own.
The most shocking experience was on the last day of our stay, when the staff told us “don’t pee and poop in the bed.”This was extremely insulting and unprofessional. I am a Front Office Manager at a 5-star international hotel, and my husband is a military officer. What kind of assumption is this? It felt like discrimination, especially toward Asian guests like themselves.
They didnt change the bed sheet and there were few stains from before which we didn’t notice bc we checked in late and tired.
I clearly explained that our baby always wears diapers in the room, and we do not engage in such uncivilized behavior. This comment was completely unacceptable and disrespectful.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel due to poor service, lack of basic hospitality, and extremely rude staff behavior.
The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Wouldn't recommend the higher floors for those with heavy luggage. Nor the top floor for light sleepers since the music from the bar across the street is fairly loud till after midnight. And a kettle would be preferable. But, all in all, I like it - have stayed there 4 or 5 times.
Perfect location right next to the beach, restaurants, tours and shops.
Receptionists were very nice. Room was clean, nice rooftop with view to the beach.
I stayed Single room, which is a little limited for 2 persons. TV is very old style.
