A Budget Hotel with Serious Maintenance and Cleanliness Issues

I recently stayed at this budget hotel, and while I understand that you get what you pay for, there are certain things that really shouldn't be compromised. Unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance are two of them—and this hotel misses the mark.

Cleanliness and Room Condition:
The rooms were frankly disappointing. There were issues with humidity on the walls, signs of poor maintenance, and some of the equipment was really outdated—like a fridge that seemed well over a decade old and was actually leaking water. The shower had small leaks, and the overall condition of the room just felt run down. If you care about a fresh, clean environment, this isn't the place.

Swimming Pool Issues:
Another major letdown was the swimming pool. It was not well maintained at all. The water was murky, almost muddy-looking, and it didn't seem like it had been changed for a very long time. That’s a real health concern, and it’s something that just shouldn’t happen, no matter how budget-friendly the place is.

Breakfast and Reception:
On a more positive note, the breakfast was decent. They offered a standard continental buffet with enough variety to get by. The coffee, though, was just basic instant coffee, which was a letdown if you’re hoping for a decent brew. And the reception area is quite small and can feel hot and cramped.

Location:
The one big plus is the location. It’s in an excellent spot, which is really the best part of the whole experience. If you need to be in that area and don’t mind the trade-offs, that might be its saving grace.

Absolutely awful! The room was crawling with bedbugs (tahta kurusuand) we (2 mothers and 2 children) had to sleep by the swimming pool !!! We end up covered in bites. NOT ACCEPTABLE at all !!! The staff didn’t seem surprised and the boss refused to refund the total amount of that night.
The whole place felt dirty and neglected.

Avoid this hotel at all costs!!

Stay away from this hotel! Hello fellow travelers, if you’re planning to spend quality time in Fethiye, look elsewhere. Here’s our story: we booked 2 rooms in this hotel via Agoda with full pre-payment for 2 nights and were on the way to Fethiye from Kaş by car. The check in time was stated from 14:00 till midnight, and since we had to drive from another city, we arrived in the evening. Once we arrived we were told by the receptionist that they don’t have any rooms for us and that they don’t work with Agoda anymore, Agoda just refuses to remove them despite their numerous requests, which turned out to be a lie later on. Instead they offered us an apartment somewhere in the city, for which we had to pay extra. Since it was evening and we didn’t have much choice in a city that we’re not familiar with, we reckoned it was better than spending the night in the rental car, so we paid extra for it and went there. For that they at least gave us a free dinner at the hotel before we left for said apartment (I’m pretty sure this would not have happened should we decided not to pay extra). I’m not going to review the apartment, it was sort of airbnb, not cleanest one, you get the idea. But as for the dinner, it seemed and tasted more like leftovers from lunch or even breakfast. We crashed in the apartment and went back to the hotel in the morning to have breakfast and talk to the reception once more about the refund. Even though the pre-payment was non-refundable, how it is our fault that we came on the check-in day and there were no rooms for us that we booked and paid for in advance? They reiterated they don’t work with Agoda and we had to contact them, which we did, and left the hotel, because we decided to book another hotel in a nearby town of Ölüdeniz. We chatted with Agoda for several days afterwards (you know, 3 to 5 business days), and they ultimately said that their partner i.e. the hotel, said we never came! Now, what happened is: 1. The hotel straight up lied to us they don’t work with Agoda; 2. The hotel lied to Agoda we never came; 3. The money we paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights is lost. They just simply double booked our rooms and profited out of it. And on top of that profited by renting out their apartment to us, as we were tired from the road and needed to rest. I’m pretty sure there are many much better options in Fethiye. Stay away. Or, if you still decide to come, never pay for anything in advance. These are dishonest people.

If you're truly looking for a place in this price range, I highly recommend it to everyone for its cleanliness, view, food, and quality service. We didn't experience any negative experiences, and my daughter had a blast in the pool. Many thanks to Metin.

Always a great time at this hotel. We've been staying here for years and are treated like part of the family. Great location for a walk into Fethiye or just a 5 minute taxi ride to Calis. Buffet available very evening which is really good value.

This is a wonderful hotel for both families and couples. It's highly recommended, especially due to its location and proximity to the beach and surrounding areas. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is plentiful and filling. An unforgettable holiday is a reality at Aliş Hotel. We'd like to thank the entire Aliş Hotel family for their attentiveness and service. I'd like to emphasize that we will definitely stay at this hotel whenever we return to Fethiye.

This place shouldn't even be called a hotel, let alone a guesthouse; it would be an insult to the guesthouse. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, but the hotel was horribly neglected and dirty. The bedspreads and bedding were stained. For dinner, they offered us five different versions of the same vegetable, then served us spoiled food. We traveled with Mickey Tours and asked to be moved to another hotel for the difference, but they refused.
