Kahveci Alibey Hotel in Marmaris

Fantastic Location and Views, But Breakfast Was a Major Disappointment

We stayed at the Kahveci Alibey Hotel from August 25th to August 29th, 2025.

The hotel's location is truly excellent – right by the sea and very central. Our room offered a full, fantastic sea view, which was the absolute highlight of our stay. The room was clean, and the beds were unusually large and very comfortable. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, breakfast was a huge letdown. The hotel doesn't have its own breakfast room. Instead, guests are sent to “OHANA,” the establishment located in front of the hotel, which operates as a café/restaurant during the day and a bar with loud music in the evenings. The breakfast was very meager and always the same: a small piece of cheese, a few olives, a boiled egg, a Sigara Börek roll, butter/jam/honey in small packets, and a small bread basket (only thinly sliced white bread). There were no options for diabetics, those with gluten intolerance, or health-conscious guests. Tea was served in a coffee cup, and a second tea or additional water had to be paid for separately – which is unusual and inappropriate for a hotel in Turkey. The OHANA staff was unfriendly and seemed to treat other foreign guests significantly better.

At night, it was almost impossible to sleep due to the extremely loud music from the bar. Even on the beach (also operated by OHANA), it was annoying to be constantly approached and asked if we wanted drinks.
