Poseidon Hotel - Adults Only in Marmaris

I absolutely love this hotel. Just had our 3rd stay. Rooms are immaculate, food is good (buffet) drinks are local but who cares. Right on the beach. Staff are amazing. Jimmy and Ismail are just the best. They don't have much in the way of entertainment so perfect if you need a quiet break away from it all.

We're currently staying at this hotel. We love it. It's right on the seafront. Our room is practically new and pleasant in every way, on the second floor, with a balcony facing the sea, so you can barely hear any noise. The hotel is mostly crowded with older Brits, with virtually no young people and a few Russians. The food is very good. The selection isn't huge, but everything is delicious: beef, fish, chicken, lots of vegetables and desserts. By comparison, we've previously stayed at a more expensive five-star hotel with a larger selection, but we didn't want to eat half of it a second time. The alcohol selection isn't great, and we're not big fans, but the beer is definitely good. All restrictions have been lifted, no masks required (except on public transport, and even then it's not mandatory), and you bring your own food. There's a gym, small, as is typical in hotels like this, but you can get a workout in (maximum 25kg dumbbells, two treadmills, and a bench press).

We have a great stay and lovely time at Poseidon Hotel. The hotel is very clean, food is very nice and all the staff are helpful and friendly. I commend the following staff Burak Jimmy Mohammed Aykut Ilaida All the rest of the staff

Ok. From start to finish. This was an EasyJet holiday. Arrival at Dalaman airport. Found our taxi. We booked a private taxi through EasyJet but what we didn’t know was the drive would be a formula 1 racing driver. A total dangerous maniac on the road drive very fast and only inches from vehicles in front. Zig zagging all over the road passing on blind spots raging at other drivers, arguing at traffic lights. EasyJet needs to sort this out a horrendous start to our holiday. hotel.
Reception staff were polite and spoke reasonably good English. Our first room was 3017. We asked to be moved as the view was basically a tin roof. New room 2007. Side location with a slight sea view. The rooms are as shown on the web page.
There is from what I could find 1 wc in foyer area. Stairs to all floors 2 lifts one in each block overlooking a small pool. It looks much bigger on the web page. Believe me it’s small and empty most of the time due to the near sub zero temperature of the water. There is an indoor pool, it appears slightly warmer. There is a spar but we did not use it and a gym which we also did not use. I believe this is free. Dining. There are plenty of choices and the food is always hot. But don’t expect a full English because you won’t get it here.
Drinks. There appears to be a couple of bars but only one was open during our time here and it’s counter or table service. Ie you can’t help yourself. Ask for Jimmy, he’s going to look after you. That’s not his name but that’s what he likes to be called. Comfy chairs to sit and relax. In a word “None” honestly this is a real let down it’s an adult only and some being elderly need somewhere comfortable to sit and relax to chat with friends, family etc but honestly there are only 6 chairs in the reception with for the most part reps use to try to sell you trips etc. and wooden benches with the thinnest cushions possible.
Entertainment. We are here for nine days, we arrived last Tuesday and there was a group playing that evening and nothing since then. I asked Jimmy what the entertainment was for the rest of the week to which he replied “entertainment once a week” so bring cards or board games or tablets. Otherwise you’re going to have to go find your own entertainment.
Tv. So there are tvs in the rooms but don’t bring anything to connect to them because you can’t they are fixed in a wooden frame on the wall.
Pool there are Sun loungers around the pool but these are cleared away for the evening and this time of year it’s in the shade by 15:30.
Beach: not a bad beach it’s a gritty type of sand but there’s a private area just for hotel guests a floating deck where you can lay and a wooden deck. Get the far end if you can then you’ll get the sun all day. It’s raining now and forecast for the rest of our time here and with no entertainment 🤷🏻‍♂️I recommend you go on a boat trip one of the bigger boats it’s a great day out. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the promenade an Irish bar which does a good all Irish breakfast or so I’m told. If you could learn one phrase I recommend you learn “No thank you” you’ll understand why when you get here.
Wi-Fi. It’s not great if you use it keep checking it’s still on even if it shows full bars it’s sometimes goes off then you’re using roaming and that’s going to cost £7-8 a day
Netflix.
Don’t bother downloading movies as you can’t play them here Netflix won’t permit it. Phone area is zone C ask youre provider before you come. I recommend you turn roaming off before you take off or set a spend limit if not your provider will text you and that’s £7.67 for the privilege of receiving it. That’s it from me. I won’t come back to this hotel as by now we are bored senseless as are many others

Overall we liked it and plan to come again.

Me and my partner stayed here in late September.We booked for a side sea view, if you’re bothered about seeing the view i’d upgrade as it was a tiny slither of sea that we could see. The room was comfortable with two single beds pushed together. Had everything we needed. I liked the bonus of being able to click a button to either have your room cleaned or not be disturbed. It’s in a great location with bars and pubs on the Main Street. It is a bit of a walk to the marina, I’d guess about 25-30 minutes but you have great views and bars along the way. Like all hotels there are limited sun beds both inside and on the beach which are mostly full by the late morning. You do get access to the loungers on the beach, outside the hotel for free. The food has good options and changes the main courses everyday. Drinks are easily accessible.

I gave it 4 stars because there weren't enough sunbeds for guests and the entertainment was poor. The hotel was very clean, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and deserved praise. I'd like to single out Ilayda, Osman, and Ali, but everyone was friendly.

First one everything is amazing. My room is very bagger and so cleanless. Pool area very funky. Dj is the best thanks you Burak. Food is very delicious. I like a Elevator :) seaview

Our stay at Poseidon Hotel was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the cute and lovely ladies at the reception welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. The waiters were always friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home, and the housekeeping team kept everything spotless with great care.

The food was excellent — fresh, tasty, and varied — and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive..

Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and we are grateful to the whole team for making it so special. We would definitely be happy to return noting that this wasn’t the first time at Poseidon!
