Günebakan Taliani Otel in Ayvalik

I went here with my wife for a 2nd honeymoon of ours and everything exceeded my expectations.

The owner is professional and welcoming and most important, there were never any surprises.

The wine and cheese plate were excellent and reasonably priced, the rooms spotless and comfortable and the hotel out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area but still accessible to the minibus stop, shops, bars, ect...

We had wanted to bring my in-laws with us for the summer to stay a few days but our plans were changed by other commitments.

I've stayed in hotels all over Turkey and this was by far my best experience.

Lastly, the crafts made by the owner in her on-site workshop and true pieces of craftsmanship and I was highly impressed. I've never been one for souveniers but these were works of love that "found me" in that I'm highly selective about what goes on my wall or what I give as gifts.

The magnets to the skillfully crafted working wind mills now adorn the houses of my parents, proud artifacts of my trip to Ayvalik.

Thank you for making it a trip to remember!

The older building didn’t compromise for quality. The host was super friendly and helpful at every turn. The breakfast was satisfying and the homemade jams they brought out were really something! Our room for three was spacious and fitted with an air conditioners. On the flip side, the mattresses were more hard than soft, the balcony wouldn’t properly lock, and at one point the water shut off so we couldn’t use the washroom or shower. For the latter issue, the host immediately helped us and it was resolved :)

While the facilities are all on the older side, we very much enjoyed our homey stay and will be returning inshallah!

Nice clean place with a wonderful garden from where you can see the sea. Had a nice clean appartement with a small kitchen. Parking space available across the road. You can walk easily to the city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Definetly recommended.
