Levanten Hostel in Istanbul

I was travelling with a group of 8 to Istambul and our Airbnb got cancelled last minute, so we had to find a new place SOS. The host seemed really kind first, because he offered us rooms, but our experience quickly became bad. He offered us a deal on the rooms, but later he started to change all the details and the prices as well. In the end, for all of the 4 nights we stayed at Levanthen we had to change our rooms daily with all our belongings. On top of these problems, the hostel is in a terrible condition. The rooms and the bathrooms are covered in thick layers of mold , the curtains and bedsheets are stained and the beds are broken.

my WORST TRACELL EXPERIENCE. The DIRTIEST place I've ever been to. The photos are just big lies. Check google reviews. The rooms were all smelling. Very old building and the doors weren't lockable. Men dorm floor actually smelled like piss! For the first 15minutes I just couldn't beleave how dirty the place was. when we told them that the place is NOTHING like the pictures, they said that the photos were taken when yhe place was "young". They also charged us 30euro more just for canceling our stay. With that price we found a much better place in the same neighberhood. Not recommended at all.

The place was horribly dirty. One floor smelled like actual pee and I couldn't ever believe how dirty the second floor was. The beds were almost broken. Was the dirtiest place I have ever seen in my life. The only good point is that the staff is somehow friendly. But they couldnt do anything . It was nothing like the pictures. When we told them that we wont be staying there, they charged us 30 euro extra. The photos are so not real and when we told them that it is nothing like the pictures, they said that the photos where taken some years ago! Awfull experience in Istanbull. The bathroom and toilet were also very very dirty.

I had a reservation there for 2 nights in April this year. I did a booking through hostelworld. Unfortunately the hostel didn't meet my expectation. Pictures on the website shows totally other place than in reality. The hostel is very, very bad. The female dorm was located in the upper floor. It looked like there was living one man who is working in the hostel and he just moved out when I arrived (there were his jackets and clothes). The room was dirty, the roof looked like it's leaking when it's rainy. I'm adding pictures as a prove + print screen of the female dorm on hostelworld's website. I regret I didn't took pictures of bathroom which was just disgusting. I rejected to stay in this room. I required to moved me somewhere, finally I stayed in a one room person which I guess, it also didn't looked like on pictures. Firstly they asked me to pay the difference between a night in the dorm vs private room but later they left it, because of I decided to stay just for a night (even if I had a booking for 2 nights). I fully feel dissapointed about this place! Just a single positive was a guy who worked in the night shift - he was really nice. More dissapointed I feel about hostelworld website where the rating is pretty high for this place!

I recently stayed at a hotel that left much to be desired. The overall cleanliness was appalling, with grimy surfaces and questionable stains. To add to the discomfort, the absence of a bathroom inside the room was inconvenient and disappointing. The shared facilities were no better, showcasing a lack of maintenance. Definitely not a place I'd recommend for a comfortable stay.

This hostel is running down , it’s not saturable at all .
Needs an urgent renovation .
