Second Home Hostel in Istanbul

Second Home is truly the place to stay in Istanbul! The vibes that the staff brings make you really feel that you have a second home. The hostel is filled with nothing but laughter and non-stop fun! The rooms were very clean, the reception cozy like a living room. The activities they organize, including pub crawls, traditional Turkish breakfast and dinners, games and goofing of on the rooftop will help you make new friends. Anyone traveling to Istanbul, Second Home Hostel is your place to stay.

The location is excellent, as it is close to the subway, tram, bus lines, and several major sights in Istanbul. The atmosphere?! You won’t feel like you’re staying in a hostel at all! It’s more like a social club, especially in the evenings. You’ll have the opportunity to sit and chat with people from all over the world at night when you come back from a long day of exploring the city. The rooms and services are absolutely worth the price you pay. Everything is clean and well-maintained. Although it is located in a busy area, it is not noisy at all. The staff is another big plus — friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. So if you’re thinking of staying in Istanbul for a while without any headaches and want to have an amazing experience, Second Home Hostel is definitely your best option!

I can’t say enough great things about it. The location was the best! It was so close to everything. I literally could walk to anything and everything I wanted to see and so many cafes and restaurants nearby. Such a good vibe from the staff and the hostel itself. Faruk was so hospitable and made sure I had everything I needed and had a great stay. My room was clean and everything I needed. Such a great price for what you are getting. I recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this area of Istanbul!

Second Home is amazing! The staff is super friendly and fun! The rooms and facilities were very clean and the reception was very cozy! We went on fun pub crawls, played card games on the roof, and went to a Turkish Hamam. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone coming to Istanbul!

Really wonderful experience at Second Home! Clean, super social, and a friendly atmosphere created by Memo, Faruk, Ahmet, and the hostel volunteers. Would absolutely come back!

10/10 would highly recommend! I stayed in a private room shared bath and the bed was super comfortable and there was individual heat control. The location is FANTASTIC. It is right in the middle of everything you want to do. Walking distance to all the big sites as well as plenty of food and shops. Also walkable to Taksim over the bridge and the ferry station. The staff was also fabulous. So welcoming and always ready with GREAT recommendations. Ahmet sent me on one of my favorite adventures to Moda to get Meneman. Samir is the life of the party taking groups out every night to have fun while being safe. People are coming in at all hours and the street outside can be quite noisy so bring ear plugs. Thanks Second Home for a fabulous time!

Amazing hostel!! I had such a great time here. Atmosphere is unmatched; staff are caring, friendly, and really good at bringing guests together. Perfect place to spend time with new people. Loved the hostel activities, e.g. the homemade dinners, the pub crawl… so much fun! Semira is the *best* leader and hype woman Always felt safe and looked after (solo female traveller). Good facilities (e.g. kitchen, bathrooms) and they were cleaned every day. Well-connected; main sites are very close by and it's easy to get to other areas of Istanbul. Thank you so much Semira, Ahmet, Can, Memo, Farouk, Ömer and the rest of the team (+ beautiful cat Mimi)

The location is great, the price is reasonable, and the staff are friendly.
I had heavy bags, and there was no elevator, but the staff were very helpful and helpful, which was very appreciated. I had a great stay!

I had a great time at Second Home Hostel! The location is perfect to explore the classical tourist spots of the city and get on public transport to almost all of Istanbul. The team was very kind and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. I also had a lot of fun at the Pub Crawl that they organised. They made an effort to include everyone and keep the group together and at the same time, they made it a big energetic party! Only little downside: the prices are a little high. But in my opinion, worth paying. Thank you so much for this wonderful time!
