Seaway İstanbul in Istanbul

We booked with the hostel and when we arrived they said they didn’t have our reservation. They didn’t message us to say they were overbooked to give us warning. When I showed them messages saying we 100% confirmed, they didn’t even come and talk to us, but sent the owner of another hostel nearby to take us to their hostel. This would have been ok, but it was the WORST hostel in the world (Kaki Hostel). Do not stay at the old town Istanbul hostel or Kaki hostel. The best place we found was Hush Hostel Lounge on the Asia side. See photo attached of the mould at Kaki hostel, the replacement.

My double room was overbooked.

I was forced to stay in another hostel wifh shabby domitory they arranged.

Very unprofessional

Even though the hostel sent a confirmation of reservations on June 30, 2022 for 24 people for July 20th and 21st, two days before our arrival at the hostel we were told that there was still no room for all of us.

The owners said there was an mistake and they received more reservations than they have available rooms. At our insistence that they provide us accommodation under the same conditions, since they made a mistake, they told us to try to manage on our own.

We do not advise anyone to book accommodation in this hostel as bookings are not reliable.

The hostel was nice because of the friends made there, but honestly, the guys that work there are crooks. Robbed and sold my stuff. Have my bed away twice. Stole money from another guy that was there the same time as me, and even threaten him. This place is like doing shady buisness. I don't recommend anyone going there.
