I’m a solo female traveller and I’ve stayed in this hostel for a week and I’m really satisfied with the whole experience. I’ve stayed in female-only room, it had two bathrooms and was cleaned every day. The location is right near the Blue Mosque and other most famous attractions and it’s very easy to get to other parts of Istanbul from here. The hosts are very friendly and will tell you best and cheapest...
I have stayed at Avrasya Hostel on two separate occasions - once for a week back in July 2018 and again most recently for three days in December 2025. The location of the hostel is great - within 5-minute walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. But I regret to write that Avrasya has seriously gone downhill since I stayed there in 2018: breakfast, coffee & tea used to be served on the upstairs...
As said by someone earlier, this place could be a gem because of its price and location but there are few things that could make it be a nono for some. One: It is half assed clean like the back of the toilet seat in the picture, it is the same with rooms and showers, kitchen, fridge and terrace. Second: although the guys who work there tend to be nice they live there full time which makes them feel...
I've been staying at this hostel for almost two weeks and am very grateful to the staff for the services they provide. The price is very reasonable. Manager Ali is very well-mannered and polite. He always keeps the place clean. You feel right at home. There's a terrace and a kitchen upstairs. It has everything you need to cook. The location is also excellent. There are markets and two beautiful mosques...
The hostel is very good, the people are helpful and it is close to everywhere, right next to the historical and beautiful civilization, it is very quiet at night and you can sleep comfortably.😄
Great location, friendly owners.

The hotel is worth the money. The breakfast is small but decent and filling. The room distribution is super. The service could definitely be better, but if you push hard enough, they'll get things done.
Extremely close to the heart of the Old European Quarter, you can walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. There are three room types; I stayed in two of them. The sea view room is on the top floor, and the cheapest one is in the basement. The sea view room offers direct views of the strait. The basement room was also fine; I didn't see any bugs, and it wasn't noticeably damp, so I think it's a perfectly...
Location, hospitality is great.
Only 2 minutes from hotel to Ayasofya and blue mosque
Location is biggest selling point, less than 5 minutes to walk to the blue mosque and hagia sofia. Still located on a quiet street. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great every day. 6 bed dorm is a bit cramped and and bathroom got dirty quickly.
My stay was disappointing. While check-in was smooth, the owner was rude and unprofessional when I tried to extend my stay, insisting on cash only despite accepting card earlier. The facilities were poor—none of the power outlets worked, and I was initially given the wrong room. There was no hostel atmosphere, as most guests were older. On the plus side, the location is great for sightseeing, and the...

Second Home is truly the place to stay in Istanbul! The vibes that the staff brings make you really feel that you have a second home. The hostel is filled with nothing but laughter and non-stop fun! The rooms were very clean, the reception cozy like a living room. The activities they organize, including pub crawls, traditional Turkish breakfast and dinners, games and goofing of on the rooftop will...
The location is excellent, as it is close to the subway, tram, bus lines, and several major sights in Istanbul. The atmosphere?! You won’t feel like you’re staying in a hostel at all! It’s more like a social club, especially in the evenings. You’ll have the opportunity to sit and chat with people from all over the world at night when you come back from a long day of exploring the city. The rooms...
I can’t say enough great things about it. The location was the best! It was so close to everything. I literally could walk to anything and everything I wanted to see and so many cafes and restaurants nearby. Such a good vibe from the staff and the hostel itself. Faruk was so hospitable and made sure I had everything I needed and had a great stay. My room was clean and everything I needed. Such a great...
Second Home is amazing! The staff is super friendly and fun! The rooms and facilities were very clean and the reception was very cozy! We went on fun pub crawls, played card games on the roof, and went to a Turkish Hamam. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone coming to Istanbul!
Amazing experience at this hostel. Very kind people and they organized many fun experiences for us. Would definitely visit again)))
Really wonderful experience at Second Home! Clean, super social, and a friendly atmosphere created by Memo, Faruk, Ahmet, and the hostel volunteers. Would absolutely come back!

If you see price it's very low so good for those who need a stay in less price. Pros: spacious room, good breakfast, lively area, colorful evening, good storage. Cons: poor cleanliness, water leakage in bathroom, stains on room floor, staff not very helpful. You have to ask everything by yourself or just assume things or just miss all those amenities included in your room price. TV not working, staff...
The hostel rooms are very cheap, and you can book them quite spontaneously. This also makes it possible to change rooms once you’re there. The guests (at least in my case) were friendly, though of course there’s no guarantee. The staff’s English isn’t the best, but communication works, and there’s always someone available 24/7. The rooms are fairly clean, but oh my god—the bathrooms are horribly dirty...
good one, my room always clean, sometimes bathroom need to clean 2times, hairdryer doesnt work in any bathroom except in second floor
I am very grateful to have stayed here during my trip to Istanbul. Hanchi, the staff are very friendly. Especially Johan's low-key, careful, smart and kind Stayed here for 6 days It is highly recommended to book a room with two beds The room is completely dark and quiet after turning off the lights. So that my head can have enough rest Breakfast is bread, eggs and jam But I never tire of eating...
Very clean, breakfast included, you can cook for yourself, it's really good, the stay is also very clean
Location is a bit far from bus station or metro station.. Have to walk for 15 mins.. Room was okay.. Just the shower door quite narrow.. I think better to use curtains instead.. But overall good.. We stayed for 3 nights here and so many restaurants nearby..

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is great; attractions and transportation are within walking distance.
A pure 1-star hotel as there's only the rooms and bathrooms, no other facilities or spaces available for guests so don't expect a lobby to chill in, luggage-storage or anything else. Come-sleep-go basically. But it's clean, well-organised and run, with manager always present and as helpful as can be. Major claim is its location slap-bang in the middle of touristy Sirkeci, close to all the shops, restaurants...
The owner and roommates were very kind. I stayed here for one night and had a great time without any major inconveniences.
Very polite and friendly staff 👍 Convenient location 👍 Great hotel 👍
I stayed in the female dorm, the bed was a very comfortable single bed. And was only 3 bed in one room. Bathrooms are clean and the location is amazing. I would recommend this to any solo traveler on a budget.
The location is great! It's in a great spot where you can easily walk to many tourist spots. The older man who seemed to be a hotel employee didn't speak English, but we were able to communicate by showing him some text translated into Turkish. There are no amenities, so we recommend bringing your own.

no staff but a pass code via WhatsApp dorms are small but secure..lockers provided excellent location very clean and pleasant good value for money would recommend for singles
I liked probably only the bed itself, a good mattress, bed linen and a blanket. BUT! It is located on a very busy street, the upper bed is near the window and also without curtains, well, i.e. transparent, there is tulle, but the light from the lanterns is very bright. Maybe they need to be adjusted near the windows or the seal needs to be replaced, in general there is no soundproofing. But at least...
Guests are mostley locals ( very kind people) Rooms are very cosy. Too many stairs to reach the third floor. During my stay, rooms weren't fully booked, but the shower was always cold. The location is among bars and cafes, perfect for night life.
Everything is good, but the stairs of the building are very steep, so people with bad knees should be careful.
The location is amazing! The main thing is why I recommend it. I didn’t like that there was no kitchen, but there was a kettle and a microwave. It is difficult to find staff for check-in. There are no places to dry clothes. But it all pays off in price and location. It’s located on a street like this with umbrellas.

Amazing location! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Remember to take your own towels though. The terrace view is breathtaking. The breakfast is very nice.
The service offered by this youth hotel for the price is very satisfying. Perfect location. You can go in and out at whatever hour you want. Just think of bringing your own towel.
Staff was friendly. Nice place to choose for a budget stay.
Very close to all the attractions. The view from the terrace is descent. They have a 24h open reception and the staff are friendly and helpful. Cheap accomodation and not so bad breakfast. I would recommend it for value for money.
Very cool and Friendly Staff + the cheapest hostel that you can find in historical peninsula of Istanbul. It has free breakfast and a roof top bar with a beautiful view of bosphorous on the east side and view of Aya Sofia and Sultanahmet mosque when you look to the west.
Nice place, good information at the front desk. They organizes very cheap tours to Capadoccia and other places you want to go, that's really good! Beds dorms are ok, cost around 10 € There's 4 floors with no lift.

what wonderful people. clean hotel,
Great location that's close to everything. Clean rooms, friendly service, and very quiet. Highly recommend
It was a bit unprofessional, like when you arrive there's noone at the reception so you have to call them. Rooms are quite nice and bed super comfy! Out of all I liked the location the most and that's why I'd choose it again.
Perfect hotel for travellers on a budget. The place is clean, well located and the staff as well as the owners are very friendly and helpful in many ways. Dorm cost 70tl per person per night and even include a small breakfast. Guests can use the kitchen and fridge at any time. I would definitely recommend this place to other people.
A very social hostel....with a wide variety of people to meet ...Hygiene Standards very good for Covid-19

This is exactly as advertised! Hosts were very kind, offering tea and coffee all day as well as the complimentary breakfast. Perfect location for getting to all major attractions in the city as well as lots of dining options nearby. Would definitely recommend as an affordable stay in Istanbul!
I didn't like it. The room was supposed to have a balcony, but it overlooked a dirty, abandoned terrace. Breakfast was getting poorer and smaller every day. The room is not cozy. The only good thing is the location of the hotel. The very center. Very beautiful.
Good location, average facilities
Friendly staff, and very good price. Thought it would be better for meeting other travelers though, not many people around, and the place is a little awkward. Nice enough for the price though
Wen Wen recommended to me, a step into the room just love it here, and I sleep in the fourth floor room facing the sea facing the window Bed, the room is taken to go is the scenery infinite Double terrace, is not the view of the beauty bursting need for you personally to live to live to see: p, In addition to the hostel's free Breakfast buffet must be points like?
Great value for money. Good view from the fourth floor though a little noisy during nights as seagulls sit on roof at night. If it rains, you'll be listening to all of it. Best is to keep good ear plugs.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hostel I definitely recommend to stay it’s close to the mosque there a big batther or shopping centre every Wednesday 😍😍
It was a good stay at the hotel, cleanliness and attention from those in charge of the hotel. All thanks to brother Muhammad for his kindness and concern for the comfort of the visitors.
Friendly and warm reception but it is not a Hustle at all, it is a simple guest house without any cooking area or public area. Rooms are below standard. Location is great👌
Not bad place at all. There are many disadvantages of course, but it’s very hard to find any better in Fatih for that price (which is quite low). The owner is a friendly and honest person. Disadvantages are pretty obvious for Istanbul: cold room inside, smoking smell, a bit dirty furniture and bath, and small room in general. No fridge, no microwave, no kettle, no iron, no oven, problems with hot water...
location of the hotel eminonu balat karakoy taksim galata sultan ahmet very close to everywhere. Cleanliness and service was number 10.

It was okay we enjoyed our stay but it wasn't the cleanest place ever nor was it the warmest. The room we had id image will get cold in middle of winter. I'm glad we stayed when it was relatively warm!
If you are not experienced traveller and you want something nice and fancy, choose other place. But if just a clean bed is enough, then ok. There are nothing else. No kitchen. Only showers/toilets. You cannot leave the hostel after 12pm. It's ok for couple of nights. Super nice owner will help you. Bring your own locker- lock.
My rate is maximum, because the owner of hostel is wonderful man
This is a clean cheap place in the perfect location for the Old City. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Topcapi Palace (and many other places) are in walking distance.
Very nice hotel and safe and the reception its very gentle
