I came to stay at cheers for one night but I ended up staying for a whole week. I met some friends for life. If you like to play instruments or sing then cheers is a perfect option for you, there's often a little jam session happening downstairs. Otherwise there is a good party vibe if you want it as they team up with other hostels for pub crawls. Thank you Ibu and Hisham for looking after me so well. I'll be back in the summer. 💜

i loved this hostel! the staff is super nice and the premises are very clean! the toilet was always clean and so were the bed and bedsheets. they let me use the toilet after check out and leave my bags after checkout, also were worried after me because i showed up very sick. would totally come back!!!

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a hostel in a less-touristy but still central part of Istanbul! The accommodations are basic but totally fine for a backpacker on a budget. The guys running the place are super friendly and welcoming. Great vibes!

My husband and I stayed in this hostel for two nights. The hosts Ibo and Hicham made us feel so welcome in Istanbul and gave us a lot of tips on where to eat or go out. We also enjoyed some awesome jamsession at the hostel. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Thanks a lot for this beautiful first stay in Istanbul!

A lovely stay! My private room was clean and well-maintained, and had an amazing view of the street outside. The AC worked great (thank goodness). It is a busy road and can be noisy at night, so if you are a light sleeper, maybe consider somewhere else or earplugs. The people were very nice and the tram stop is so close, making everything very accessible. The surrounding neighborhoods are walkable, quaint, and perfect.

Really concerning staff there is a unhealthy inside clique with one staff talking about doing pills once work finishes on overhearing a conversation. I was also sworn at and unfairly dismissed because one long staying guest miss placed his charger, I found it underneath a chair and accused of stealing it. They sided with the guest they 'know' based on gut instinct rather than any evidence. I felt really unsafe from the first night, the staff need to understand professional conduct

Two administrators who are volunteers living there for free. They are very needy. They constantly seek attention from guests, especially female. They're offended and offensive. Owners of the hostel! Please review your "staff" performance.

Wannabe bouncer Ibrahim the administrator who lives in this hostel is cruel to the local cat kicking her out. He also clings to any female guest who is kind enough to him to pay attention to his whining. You can recognize him by his insecurity and "I swear I swear". The owner Ali is alright but he allows the administrators to cling there. They should have been back to their home bedrooms asking moms to feed them. Not guests. Avoid.

We stayed here our second time in Istanbul and loved it. Super nice and easygoing staff with great recommendations for activities and places to eat. Bit of a walk to the major attractions but don’t let this deter you. It’s a fantastic location if you want to really feel the heart of the city. Dorms are clean with plenty of locker space.

Dirty bathrooms, unfriendly and hostile staff, antisocial atmosphere. One of the toilet seat in the bathroom was broken for two days. The air conditioning in my room didn't work for several days. I slept in a sweat for 2 days. Although I extended my stay by paying more money in advance, the staff "accidentally" reassigned the room to someone else and threw my things away. Instead of apologizing, the staff lost their temper and yelled at me for demanding my stuff back. I have no idea how this hostel has good reviews on the internet. The good reviews is the reason I chose and boy was i disappointed. It was truly hands down the worst hostel experience in my round the world trip across dozens of countries and 40+ hostels

Decent stay. No elevator here so if you’re getting terrace rooms 07 or 08, be ready for a good climb.
The breakfast was ok. The lady was very welcoming.

Amazing breakfast and owner provides quality breakfast service. Tucked in behind the Main Street it is a hidden gem you need to check out for a quality Turkish breakfast! Thank you guys for welcoming this foreigner

The atmosphere of the hotel and the room was different from what we imagined and it was quite small and the appearance was not as clean as the photo
But the location of the alley and street where the hotel is located is very good and friendly and pleasant, which made us feel satisfied with staying here.

Amazing location in Kuloglu. The room was unique and clean. A cafe recently opened next door making delicious drinks and serving tasty ice cream - recommend you try it! Staff friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot!

This place is absolutely awful. Poorly maintained. The bathroom is extremely badly fitted. There is no light switch beside the bed, you need to get up from bed to switch off the light. The whole place smells of sewage. The owner is barely there and not very nice. This place is to be avoided. It is very cheap, understandably. I did not want to try breakfast. Starbucks on Istiklal Caddesi provided an alternative.
