Semiz Apart Hotel in Alanya

Rooms: our room door wouldn't open and had a lock issue so we had to struggle with it every time we wanted to re enter the hotel room and it was only fixed because the man in the room nexto ours was a locksmith and talked to the maintenance guy, the employees didn't really do anything and seemed annoyed everytime we brought the issue to their attention.

The bathroom was also very old and quite worn down (toilet was dirty upon arrival and also broken), the towels we received had stains on them and the bathroom didnt have any soap but it did have two small bottles of shampoo for some reason.

The hot plate in the room didn't work (and was very dirty). Even though this is an apartment hotel we didnt have any glasses, mugs, cutlery, bowls or plates in the room and the few dishes we did have were dirty. Walls were paper thin we cold hear everything going on outside (theres usually very loud music and partying going on untill 1-2am).

The AC has to be payed for sepereatly (it was 5eu per day), and the AC is quite loud and drips a lot of water to the point we had a puddle on the floor and on the table which was under the AC.

The bed wasnt very comfortable and the couches arm rest was broken, floors were also very dirty.

Service: the service upon arrival was good, we had our suitcases carried upstairs and all but afterwards the front desk was maintained by two teenage boys who were quite rude and not very helpful at all.

Location: despite everything the location is amazing, less than 5 minute walk away from the beach, right nexto to a street full of little shops and restaurants, 4 minute taxi ride away from the mall etc. there is also a small shop right nexto the hotel that sells drinks, snacks and swimming stuff.

If you are planing on staying here i would reccomend you bring or buy some paper plates/ cups and bring your own towels. Overall though I would not recommend this hotel room if you are traveling with children or plan on staying at the hotel much but it is relatively cheap and in a good location so if you mostly plan on staying out and just sleeping in the hotel then this may be decent for you.

Central location. Reception staff excellent, cleaning ladies Very polite, morning bar man with red crevatte/ red tie is outstanding. Afternoon/evening bar man is rude, arrogant and nasty. He creates a bad atmosphere. He should be dismissed or given substantial training. He thinks he is god, but he's not.

Our bathroom had mold in it and it seemed like no one has ever cleaned the floors in the hotel room because of how dirty they were. We also had 3 spiders and spiderwebs in our room. We could hear absolutely everything from hotel rooms next to us, from flipping the light switch to showering, which meant we couldn’t sleep at night, because one neighbor was listening to loud music from his speaker, another night we could hear him aggressively vomiting in the bathroom for hours. When we mentioned to the man working there that we can hear the TV in the next room, he blatantly lied and said that room does not have a TV, which we later checked and that room did have a TV. If you want to sleep at night, definitely don’t recommend staying there. Only positive things were the pool area and the older man with the dog, who was very friendly and helpful.

There was mold in the bathroom. The walls are paper thin due to the hotel being so old, heard TV from neighbours, sexual moaning and loud music most of the night. The reception wasn’t of much help of getting a new room as they said no rooms was available despite when checking online they had 3 rooms available. The only positive thing about staying there was the older man in the reception with his dog, he was very nice although he didn’t have much to say regarding room change etc due to not being the boss there.

Avoid this place like the plague!! Absolutely filthy rooms, floors and skirting boards are thick of muck and dust, cupboards are rotten inside or falling off the walls. Bathroom is equally disgusting, shower head kept falling off, bathroom ceiling was broken and full of what look liked mould. Showers are pathetically small. The whole building is outdated and manky. Beds are the most uncomfortable hard beds I have ever stayed in literally had a terrible night sleep every night. The maids came once in a week because we asked and she only changed the bedding because we showed her it was full of marks! The safe to the room is kept locked downstairs but god forbid you get your key wet and the reception staff will go ballistic. I found the staff absolutely useless at first they were lovely untill they found out we didn’t want to eat at the restaurant then they became unhappy and even complained to other members of the group! 14 of us stayed over 4 rooms and each room was the same, dirty, old, outdated and just downright depressing!! The pool is small and right next to the entrance not ideal at all when you have small children. Internet is as bad as the rest of the place the only reception you get is round the pool and the air con is just as terrible! I have never been to a hotel so disgusting in all my life and I will never return to this one either! You can’t even call it cheap and cheerful it is literally cheap and depressing

Just come back from the dirtiest place I have ever stayed in, glad we were only there for 1 week, The hotel manager is the rudest man I have ever met, a d he must be training the receptionist to follow in his footsteps. The restaurant staff fell over us when we arrived but once they realised we were not eating there they were horrible. Even the other eating places around were shaking there heads when we said where we were staying. I would advise others to stay in Alanya as it is a beautiful place but NOT this hotel.

Avoid the rooms where dirty cupboards hanging off locks on front doors would not work properly lampshade hanging down maids did not clean rooms properly the manager was rude because he was not happy we did not eat at his restaurant every night but we like to explore different restaurants when on holiday the oil area was the best thing about this hotel I have stayed on many different parts of turkey for the last 20 years and never experienced anything like this I do not expect the best as I know the rooms are basic but this needs a lot of work done to it

We stayed at this hotel end of July for 12 days. Unfortunately our experience was far from pleasant. Upon arrival the state of our room was dissapointing and unclean. It required cleaning by us to make it livable. Despite reporting this to rep nothing was done but did our towels every morning in the shape of fans. While the location was great and the bar / restaurant was clean the condition of the rooms take away from it. Shame about the rooms as it's an ideal spot.
