Afsin Hotel in Antalya

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days last year. The location is excellent—within walking distance to the seafront.

However, the room was quite small and lacked basic amenities such as a wardrobe to hang clothes. People were smoking on the balconies so we could feel cigarette smell in the room. The bathroom had an open shower without a door, which easily led to water overflowing. Room service was provided every other day but was not particularly thorough.

The pool appeared larger in the photos than in reality. During our entire stay in hot September, we never saw anyone actually swimming in it.

Breakfast was disappointing. Although the tables were filled with fruits and vegetables to create an illusion of abundance, the selection was limited and repetitive. The breakfast had little protein options, almost vegetarian, may not be filling enough. On some days there were sausages of not good quality. The quality of the produce was overall poor, which was especially upsetting considering it was peak season for fresh local fruits and vegetables. Also, breakfast does not include real coffee—I don’t consider instant coffee an acceptable substitute.
