Reviews
The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable, functioning only when it was convenient for them. The pool area was in dire need of cleaning and maintenance, marred by dry leaves, cigarette butts, and sun loungers stained with coffee. Regular upkeep is essential to enhance its appeal. The bar was old and covered in dust, and the staff displayed a concerning level of unprofessionalism. The overall hygiene standards were appalling.
While the food was fresh and tasty, with a limited but decent selection of home-cooked meals, this in no way compensates for the deficiencies of the facility. I absolutely do not recommend this place as a four-star destination. Additionally, beware of the agency promoting boat trips and Hammam offers, as they significantly inflate prices—double what you’d find at local bazaar agencies..
The bar area was always dark, and at no point were we informed about where or how to get drinks. On our last day, when we went to reception to ask for a juice — as we hadn’t managed to get any drinks during our entire stay — we were told the bar had just closed and were advised to visit a nearby market instead. This was quite disappointing.
Most concerning of all, I developed a severe leg infection from bedbug bites, which required medical treatment with antibiotics (penicillin) and left me unable to walk for three days. This is absolutely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene and maintenance standards.
I sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements immediate improvements, particularly regarding cleanliness, communication, and guest comfort.
booked through Love Holidays at Dionisus Hotel Belek under the booking references
LOV11497695U and LOV11497621U.
Our family had booked three rooms and was looking forward to a well-deserved break, but
from the moment we arrived, the experience was extremely disappointing and fell far short of
the advertised and expected standards.
Summary of Issues:
● No porter or luggage assistance was available upon arrival. We had to carry 12
pieces of luggage ourselves without any help — unacceptable for a hotel claiming
to offer all-inclusive service.
● One of the rooms had no functioning air conditioning. After complaining, we
were given a small fan which was wholly inadequate. Only after a second complaint,
and insistence, were we moved to another room — which then had a broken toilet
seat on the floor.
● All three rooms were dirty and not cleaned to an acceptable standard.
● The dining area was severely overcrowded, without air conditioning, and
infested with flies. It was a struggle to find tables and the environment was
unhygienic. The quality of food was extremely poor.
● The advertised facilities were misleading:
○ Your website stated two outdoor pools and one indoor pool — in reality,
there was only one overcrowded pool.
○ Only one restaurant was present, contrary to your description.
○ The communal area had no air conditioning and was unusable with stray cats
everywhere.
● Lack of sleep due to excessive noise:
○ Loud music outside our rooms played until 11pm, disturbing our children,
including a 2-year-old.
○ From midnight until around 4am, extremely loud music from a nearby
nightclub made it impossible to sleep. All of us woke up with headaches and
exhaustion.
● Breakfast was unappetising and inedible and appeared to be leftovers from the
previous night.
● This hotel is not child friendly and unwilling to provide milk for our small child.
● Unprofessional customer service: When we raised concerns at reception about
the unacceptable conditions and the music, we were told simply: “You can leave,
but if you stay another night, you will be charged.”
● We were made to feel unwelcome and unsupported, forcing us to make the difficult
decision to find an alternative hotel on the 6th of August. After visiting three
hotels, we eventually checked into SARP Otel.
● This emergency change cost us an additional £2,290, including the hotel and
transportation. This was a financial burden, but we had no choice in order to save our
holiday for the sake of our children.
● We have since read more recent reviews and sadly found many others expressing
similar experiences — clearly indicating this is not an isolated incident.
Outcome Requested:
We are extremely disappointed with both the misrepresentation of the hotel on your
platform and the lack of basic standards and support during our stay. Given the extent of
the inconvenience, health risks, added expenses, and emotional distress, we are requesting:
● A full refund for our original stay at Dionisus Hotel Belek
● A review and removal of this property from loveholiday listings to prevent future customers from having similar experiences
But unfortunately I only stayed for one night out of 7 upon arrival we were not greeted or instructed anything. We were given our room key and that was all no other information.
When in the room the toilet had not been cleaned it still had hairs and poop in the toilet which was a real put off for me. The windows/doors were so dirty you could barely see through them.
There was a lot of damp within the rooms so not ideal with anyone that's already poorly.
The outside pool was actually CLEAN. I have seen pictures where it was dirty but when we went it was actually clean that was one thing.
On the other hand the chairs around the pool were disgusting full of dirt and mud and definitely have not been cleaned for a long time. It made me feel uncomfortable and unable to relax at all as it just felt like I was sitting in and on dirt.
No staff spoke to us apart from one rep asking if we wanted to do an excursion which again made us feel really out of place.
Our room was on the ground floor and was again just in dirt facing dirt.
I do think this would be so much better if it was cleaned and maintained more it is a shame because you can tell someone has once put money into it.
I think the nightclub that is attached has a massive factor.
Location as well was not the best.
The food was beyond poor, with no consideration for dietary needs. When I raised this, I was dismissed and told it wasn’t their problem – shocking and discriminatory. Drinks were no better: beer was the only option, and the so-called “cocktail list” was literally just red or blue.
There are no safes in the rooms, yet the hotel is directly connected to a nightclub open until 4am – filled with dark, dodgy characters openly preying on hotel guests. It felt unsafe the entire time. To make matters worse, once you check out, you’re told to just leave your luggage in the lobby unattended.
The one saving grace was Ali, the night porter. He was the only staff member who showed any care or professionalism, and he went above and beyond where he could. Honestly, he’s far too good to be working in this shambles of a so-called hotel.
This was meant to be a holiday, but it was a complete nightmare. I even ended up sleeping on a friend’s couch nearby because I couldn’t face staying another night. Please think twice before booking – this hotel should not even be allowed to operate.
