Metin Hotel in Dalyan

This hotel is in the centre of Dalyan the staff are amazing the pool area is very nice, the rooms like most of Dalyan hotel are a bit dated but are big and clean. The outside bar serves very nice food as well.

Have stayed here many, many times, have a great location and excellent atmosphere and very friendly staff. I am looking forward to seeing you all again in September

I've just completed a lovely week here at the Metin Hotel, Dalyan.
The rooms are basic but clean, spacious, and air conditioned.
The staff are all very friendly, attentive, and helpful.
The breakfast is Turkish, but who wants English breakfast when on holiday in Turkey, the breakfast area is on a roof terrace with views all around, including of the Lycian Tombs in the cliff face.
The hotel is pretty well centralised for Dalyan, just off a main shopping and drinking area.
The pool area is lovely, but some ignorant people put towels on sunbeds to reserve them, despite notices to the contrary.
All blocks are only three storey, which is great as they don't have lifts.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

I just spent a week at the Metin Hotel which is very conveniently located in the centre of Dalyan, close to the river, shops and restaurants. My room was in Block A and was on the top floor overlooking the street. From the good sized balcony there was a great view of the tombs across the river. The hotel is quite traditional but is clean and well maintained. On arrival I was offered a choice of rooms and mine was a double with a shower room, comfy bed, air con and a fridge. The only issue was that there is no wifi in the rooms, only in the reception area. This was quite inconvenient and these days, even the most basic hotels have decent wifi so I think this is something that the Metin's owners should invest in. Breakfast was on the roof terrace and was typical Turkish food - fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread, cereal etc. all very tasty. The pool area was well kept and clean and there was no problem getting a sun bed. There is also a bar/cafe there which I did not use. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, I had an excellent week and for a very reasonable price.

Second stay at the Metin, again found all the staff very welcoming and helpful. Upgraded the air-conditioning since our last visit, temperatures around the 30 degree mark most days so it was nice to have a cool apartment. Not sure why the water takes so long to get warm, a real pain having to wait, especially for the shower. Small point but no plug provided for the sink, such a waste of water when washing. Turkish breakfast simple but very nice. Hotel kept clean and tidy, the staff seem to take pride in their work, always a good sign of a well-run establishment. Must add that our return transfer failed to turn up, despite an e-mail confirming times, but reception couldn't have been more helpful, the hotel even paying for a replacement taxi to get us to the airport in rapid time. This hotel never fails to deliver, I'm sure we'll use it again in the future.

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed here for 10 days (7-17th august) and absolutely loved it. The hotel itself is lovely, very clean and tidy. Super comfy beds and free air condition which was a god send and a free safety deposit box. The cleaners work so hard our room was spotless! The owners are lovely people and always happy to help you. The breakfast was lovely, nothing hot but plenty to choose from. The views are stunning from the roof terrace and nice and shady. There’s a lovely little bar there also if you want to eat, drink or escape from the hot sun. (Could do with a pool table my son said😂) The people we met around the pool were the most friendliest people we’ve ever met, everyone was so welcoming day in day out. The hotel itself is literally a stone throw away from the strip. Loads of bars, restaurants and gorgeous gift shops and so close to the river where you can organise boat trips etc. such a beautiful place you won’t be disappointed! We can’t wait to return to the Metin and Dalyan 🇹🇷🩷…

Visited Dalyan as a solo traveller 4th-9th August. The Metin hotel ticks all boxes. It was so comfortable, had a lovely room and close to the pool in block B. Very nice welcome from Hasan when I arrived at 1am. Nothing was too much trouble and the bar and reception staff very eager to help. Pool area nice and clean. Always able to get a sunbed any time of day which is a plus. The food in the hotel bar was not particularly cheap but was good quality. Around £15 for a tuna salad, chips and a coke. The proximity of the hotel to all Dalyan has to offer is a real bonus. 1 minute to walk to the main road with all its shops and restaurants. 5 minutes’ walk to the square and mosque, 2 minutes to get to the river. Everything felt so safe to walk around as a solo female. I would return to Dalyan and I would most definitely come back to this hotel. The main points being: Very good air con Nice Turkish breakfast - no full English here! Secure rooms with free safe and air con Fridge in room - I took my own kettle Comfy beds Clean Lovely views of the rock tombs from rooftop breakfast area How could it improve? Tea or coffee making facility in room.

Lovely hotel. Warm welcome on arrival and the staff were excellent throughout our stay. As others have said, rooms were basic but very clean. Our room was a good size with everything you could need. The hairdryer was really good and not attached so you could use it wherever. Very comfy mattress too! Air conditioning was excellent. We were in block B and my only issue was that there were no blackout curtains and the sun was full on the windows from very early each morning- definitely needed an eye mask! Lovely pool area - always a sun bed available however there were the usual selfish people putting towels out and not using the beds so it might be different in the height of summer. The bar was excellent- fab lunch menu and very good food. Prices comparable to outside restaurants. Our only difficulty was the breakfast being on the top floor and no lift. This became very difficult over the week to the point where we couldn’t face the climb so went without. I think it would be worth the management considering leaving a coffee machine in the downstairs bar and maybe a tray of pastries for those who have difficulty climbing the stairs. Luckily we brought a kettle with us so at least we could have a drink on the balcony, The hotel was very convenient for the local shops, restaurants and the river. We will definitely return.
