Dalyan Live Spa Hotel in Dalyan

Having been to Dalyan numerous times and staying in the same hotel we decided to sat here as we have teenage grandchildren. Rooms were a decent size, nice sized pool, A little far out of the centre but a pleasant walk into the edge of Dalyan. Nice quiet area, but that where the compliments end. Rooms - Tea and coffee provided was over a year out of date, the kettle was filthy, provided with slippers and after just one day they were filthy, covered in dirt and hair. We had to move the chair in the room and doubt the floor underneath had been cleaned in ages, full of dust, grime litter and hair. Bedding was stained and had what looked like cigarette burns. The en suite was adequate although our toilet seat was broken and despite asking several times did not get repaired until the 3rd day. Sadly again the en suite was dirty, underneath the sink area was full of dust not cleaned in some time. Gardening could do with maintaining more as many plants were overgrown and encroaching in pathways. The pool area was not cleaned, at least in the time we were there, there were the same numerous hair bands, plastic straws washed up around the pool edge, the small pot bins were either broken or not emptied and had old sun lotion bottles, cans and cigarette butts etc. There were Brocken 'litter' which pots a safety issue as they were sharp but never removed. There are no ironing facilities, due to safety concerns? And I was told they could send items to be steam ironed for a fee, I sent 5 dresses, all came back exactly the same, did not appear to have been ironed at all, luckily I did have the amount taken off the bill. Breakfast was limited, juice was not fresh, bread was often stale, cereals stale, if you like eggs they were plentiful, nothing to shout about really, we are used to spending an hour or so at breakfast, but we just had coffee and left most days. Staff, we are used to staff bending over backwards, smiling and having fun, the guys at breakfast seemed bored to be there and not talkative at all. The twin brothers seemed to do all the work and they were very friendly and helpful, looked like they ran the place 24 hours. Sun beds have seen better days with sun faded, stained and broken covers. All in all not an unpleasant stay, but in our opinion not worth the ratings.
