Saphir Resort & Spa in Okurcalar

We stayed for 12 nights, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We came with a car and one thing that left particularly a bad impression is that they parked our car and took our keys and said that the keys should stay with them. The next day we needed to take some luggage from the car and the vallet walked us to the car and was watching us the entire time, instead of simpy handing over the keys. I felt like my car is "kidnapped" and can only be seen if somebody from the staff is with you. Few days later we went out with the car after the vallet work time and we parked wherever we wanted and took the keys. The security did not mind us having the keys at all, so I think it was all the vallet's " imaginary rules" .

When we arrived, they put as in room for invalids, which is worse and older compared to the other rooms. We asked to change our room and they changed it, so we could see the huge difference in both type rooms. The mini-bar in the invalid room was with broken door, the shampoos and other stuffs were already half used and not replaced with new ones. When we took shower, the whole room got flooded. There is one old curtain that does not do anything plus it was disgusting. I feel bad for the actual invalids who should be put in this room.
The cleanliness is at a very low level overall for the hotel. The pool has yellow stains on the walls, like it has not been cleaned a whole season. The tables next to the sunbeds are sticky and with stains. They were not cleaned even once during our stay.
Housekeeping staff enters the room despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign, which is unacceptable. I do not like the staff to enter my room when I clearly put sign to not enter. Mini bar is refilled if you put the sign make up the room. Despite the staff enter the room daily they will refill the bar only then.

There is no variety of the food at all. Most of the days you can clearly see that the food is from the previous day,just "recooked" to another dish. Some of the food was cold. There are huge lines for the only 2-3 decent dishes available(meatballs,skewers, fish etc). Once I have asked for ayran on breakfast and they told me that is only served on lunch and dinner ?!?
Most of the staff don’t speak English, which makes communication extremely difficult.
95% of the beach towels are in terrible condition, so worn out that you can literally see through them.
Overall, the hotel does not deserve 5 stars at all.It was absolutely not worth the high price we paid. If the other hotels from this hotel chain are the same, I would never go. All people who put 5 stars on this hotel obviously has never been in a real 5star hotel or this is their first vacation in Turkey.
