Very nice cozy place with modern rooms. Each room has its own bathroom (shower, toilet, bidet, sink, hair dryer), cleaned every day (if desired, you can refuse), TV, wardrobe and table, electric kettle. The area is large and well-groomed. Lovely room on 7th floor overlooking Maidan, staff were amazing! Huge bed with a delightful sitting room, fridge, bathroom was large with a deep bath. Absolutely spotless. Staff were delightful and reception spoke English very well. I did have to go to the onsite bomb shelter, which was surprisingly comfortable with chairs to sit in, or like me, found a place to lie down.

If it's your first time to Kyiv, I highly recommend the Hotel Ukraine. It's an iconic, Soviet-era hotel with an outstanding view of the Independence Monument and Maidan Square - the heart of Kyiv. It is a nice resort and it's worth a visit, especially during the winter holidays. The prices are average and the food is incredible. There are lots of activities, skiing, snowboarding and many more, so you don't get bored. Also, it is a great place to visit during summer time. I've had two longish stays in the past few months at Kyiv Hyatt. Could not be more impressed with the hotel. Not the easiest time to maintain a high standard but the hotel operation is first rate. This was my first business trip to Kiev; I usually travel to Lviv. I often stay at Radisson hotels abroad, but I didn't expect such service here. Securing a room has never been an issue and the staff always work with a very high level of professionalism. I cannot recommend City Hotel highly enough and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Kyiv. I always look forward to getting back to Kyiv to catch up...

Superb location. Very good service. I recommend using spa and getting a massage. In case your hungry the roof top restaurant "Matisse" has an excellent menu and quality&taste are very good. If the bar in the lobby should be closed I recommend to try "the fog". A Shisha Bar with good food, drinks, cocktails and wonderful teas. I enjoyed my stay very much! Thank you!!!

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. The breakfast in the mornings were lovely and the staff was really friendly, helpful, and very professional. I will definitely stop by next time I will be in Kyiv.

The hotel itself was nice, but I've left a couple items of clothing and two days later inquired about them. I was advised that housekeeping haven't seen them. Beware.

Very happy with my stay, the room was great and close to many exciting and historical places to visit. The breakfast buffet on the top floor is quite good and with great views of the city.

Opera is a good option if you need a unfussy, friendly hotel CV in a nice leafy, quiet and cool neighbourhood of Kyiv. The staff are great and super helpful. Thought the spa was excellent too. The room was spacious and bed was really comfortable. I slept really well. The air raid shelter is a particular highlight as it’s equipped with six double beds and you can get an excellent night sleep down there...

A beautiful hotel, classy setting and furnishings. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Secure and supported throughout air raids. But what marked this hotel as exceptional was the staff - so kind, helpful, professional and supportive.
