Reviews
Having paid close to £200 for one night, the experience just wasn’t anywhere near what it should have been. In contrast to the signature scent when you walk in the hotel, the whole room and linen smelled stale and not fresh at all. The room was dated and in much need of some TLC. The shower was too small to move in. On arrival I had to call down for someone to change the bedding on one of the beds as it wasn’t clean. The curtains like most of the room were old and tired looking. The towels were rough and also didn’t smell fresh. Thankfully we brought our own.
One of the sockets was loose on the wall and there are only USBs next to the bed, not plug sockets, most of which barely held a charge.
All staff we encountered were nice enough, though the questioning as to what was actually wrong with the bedding when I initially called reception was unnecessary and not what I would expect or have experienced in years prior.
The discount for Q Car Park next door was handy though the pre-pay didn’t work as the barrier didn’t go up on entrance or exit and traffic getting out of the car park was absolute carnage but that’s nothing to do with the hotel, just an FYI for anyone booking.
(For reference, it was the double double room we had as we needed two double beds and that’s the only room type that facilitates that - I have stayed in them before along with the other styles of room.)
Our room on the 6th floor (room 614) was spotless and beautifully presented, with an amazing view over the city. It was my wife’s birthday, and she was completely surprised by the stay — and especially impressed by how clean and tidy the room was.
My wife is a big coffee drinker, and we had gone through all the coffee in the room quite quickly. We spoke with the housekeeping maid on the 6th floor, who genuinely could not have been more helpful. She went out of her way to provide us with extra coffee and tea and was absolutely fantastic. A huge credit to the housekeeping team for the excellent standards they clearly maintain.
The bar and restaurant staff were unbelievable, and the food was amazing — both the service and quality were spot on.
I would 100% stay here again and would happily return in the future. A brilliant hotel and an all-round excellent experience.

The service is dreadful.
The food is good when you can actually get served but sadly that is a rarity.
Started going when it first opened and to put it mildly it's going downhill faster than Franz klammer.
I opened the box and both were packed full of vegetables! My order was untouched, I asked for a replacement or a refund but they refused both stating they didn't add any vegetables. WOW. . . The box was 75% full only which got me wondering if Chop and Wok have reduced their portion sizes or the delivery person got hungry on the way.
Do not order from this Chop & Wok as they will get your order wrong, fill the box only 75% up and not care because they have your money now and that's all that matters to them. Well done Chop & Wok!!
Clockwork... speedy service and great atmosphere.
Special mention to Elly Kim who never missed an order ... well done.. ????
Coffee is always good !!!
