Historic Anchorage Hotel, Anchorage1 / 29

Anchorage, 330 E St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
A quaint historic hotel in the heart of Anchorage. The room was large, comfortable and full of antique touches giving it a B&B feel. It is close to shopping and restaurants.
Historic Anchorage Hotel Stay Awesome facility. Very, very clean. Room was awesome. Staff friendly. Breakfast was great as well.
It is a historic property so the inside is a little dated but in a very convenient location. The beds are very firm and nice.
Cozy historic hotel that shows its age. Clean and simple. Located downtown and very convenient to everything.
Nice middle of downtown experience Quick late night check-in for one-night stay. Drink vending machine and ice available, charming hotel in the very heart of downtown Anchorage with some nice details, e.g. my window was facing the side of the other building, but some plants in between made it look nicer. Nice bed, furniture and TV, but squeaky wooden floor with carpet. Breakfast without bacon. Free...
Breakfast was just ok- much better breakfast is served at lower cost chain hotels. Bed was best part of the hotel.

Satisfied with the room but very poor service
The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, warm and spacious. It was close to the shopping street. The service attitude of the front desk clerk was very poor. The door of the public toilet was locked. When I wanted to use the bathroom after checking out the next day, it refused to open the door and refused to let us put some water in the kettle to boil the water.

Room was alright, but you could hear the traffic noise from the window if you faced the C Street area. Basic cable channels, no movie channels like HBO in other hotels. Breakfast area was a little small so it was crowded and food could've been a little warmer in the holder. Not fun to eat semi-cold eggs. Other than that, night staff was great and morning staff was okay.
Few healthy choices. Cereal, yogurt and jam had corn syrup and/or preservatives. It was impossible to heat the croissants (which were cold and seemed old). A toaster would be nice. The hotel staff at the front desk let children put their boots on the breakfast table, didn't say anything. Putting street shoes on the table should not be allowed, this is unsanitary. The breakfast area is near the front...
Room was very clean, bed was a bit soft. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was not like European, but typical US. Pool was good (saltwater) and price was reasonable for area\timing. Would stay again.
Staff, clean room. The pool room had needed to be swept and there was grime on the top of the pool that needed cleaned up. I let the front desk know that let maintenance know and got right on it.
The room was clean and comfortable. Did not try the breakfast. The hotel had an overall air of cleanliness.
I needed a comfortable, clean space to spend a day in Anchorage while traveling tbrough to Bethel. Found food nearby, the room was spotless, I used the gym and saw others in the pool. Most satisfied with the room condition and will definitely return.

The room is spacious, the air conditioning is noisy, the location is decent, and the nearby bakery looks delicious.
The service is wonderful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location downtown is convenient.
the room was very clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked.
For the price this hotel was sufficient. The shower water only got warm, never hot. Hotel shows aging but again if the embassy is $400/night I’m willing to stay at a mediocre hotel for $150/night
It was a good stay. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. I had no issues or problems.
Room was decent. The bathroom was terrible. The shower had a major flooding issue as well with the sink. Breakfast was good staff was friendly however the overall stay wasn’t the best.

Staff are very helpful/nice. Hotel needs some remodeling. We check in late and there was no hot water and outside temp was -1. But they were able to fix the issue.
The hotel seems pretty rundown despite obvious upgrades to the room. The room was pretty clean. The bed was not comfortable. There were no outlets to charge phones by the beds. I had to plug into the one in the bathroom. The one by the coffee maker requires the light to be on to work. The hotel advertises guest laundry but it's apparently in a building they've closed so not accessible. The location...
It's a nice place but a bit old.
Very close to the airport, the room is spacious and bright, there is Chinese service at the front desk, the toilet in the room I stayed in was clogged, and there was water on the carpet on the fourth floor. The experience is poor value for money
Hygiene: relatively clean, Facilities: large room, a little old decoration Airport transfer [two-way]: very convenient, tell the front desk and you can get on the bus in a few minutes, and arrive at the airport in a few minutes, the transportation is very convenient Service: Towels are not changed for consecutive stays, if you want to change, you have to go to the front desk to get them yourself Environment...

The pool was not opened. Our only issue was that when we took showers in the morning there was no body wash in bottle it was completely empty.
The property was great. Unfortantly the housekeeping staff was beating on my door incessantly starting at about 9 am even though check out was at noon. Quite annoying to an exhausted traveler in Anchorage on a medical trip.
Friendly staff at the front desk, clean and spacious rooms, delicious breakfast options, and huge hot tub.
The room was spotless, the staff was helpful and friendly, the pool was warm and clean, the community area was welcoming and comfortable. Overall an excellent visit.
Check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived shortly after 4:00 PM and were still waiting in the lobby at 4:40 PM for our room. Had we arrived at the actual check-in time, we would have been waiting nearly two hours. Notably, once I explained that we were now short on time and needed to quickly get ready for a 5:30 PM event, a room suddenly became available. -The pillows are unacceptable. The king pillow is...
Room was extremely clean and quiet, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice assortment they also had fresh fruit pineapple blueberries melon. The oatmeal was not runny and they had walnuts, almonds, raisins and brown sugar to mix. A good assortment of cold cereals, the waffles had chocolate chips and whipped cream. Good place to stay. Lady taking care of breakfast struggled to keep up with everything. Otherwise everything met our expectations
Room was clean, staff courteous and helpful. Hotel was pretty full and we arrived very late at night and ended up with room across from elevator not good for a quiet night,
The first room I had had a foul odor in it and the toilet didn’t flush right but the moved me to another room the next day. There people were friendly and helpful.
According to the reviews I was thinking this was not the place to stay however it was enjoyable. It was quiet, clean and the customer service was excellent. The breakfast in the morning was great. Knowing what I know now next time I'm in Anchorage I will be staying there.
The staff was so friendly and welcoming- not to mention quick! Great experience after a long hard day!

I just want to say that my experience here was positive. The room is dated a little bit, but was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room above all was quiet. I did have a ground floor room and there’s a alleyway outback, so some people did pass by. I just didn’t leave my curtains open. I did see one or two homeless people. I think that’s anywhere these days with the economy the way it is....
Rooms were clean, staff was accommodating, very helpful, morning front desk Elsie was polite, associate nena was helpful and answered all my questions, Don also was helpful and made my stay welcoming. So much better than my last stay a while ago.
The staff is friendly and understanding and they respect and also treat customers like family. I felt comfortable and safe. No one bothered and we kept to ourselves and everyone do themselves and we help when we with holding doors and helped with employees with taking the box of trash out. We just loving helping and put everyone in a happy moment.
I like that it was close to a lot of restaurant and my work so I liked it a lot, it was easy communication with the front desk, everybody was nice, rooms were clean, the tv didn’t really have that much options to watch or have any Bluetooth connection to connect from our phone to watch a movie but it was okay
Able cook just had to asked for pots coffee pot cups dishes as well for our convenience. Close to McDonald's. While there they ran out of sugar for our coffee, rand out of hot cereal, unable to get hot water because they ran out of cereal, so used our microwave to heat our water get our own hot cereal. Thank goodness McDonald behind the hotel. And Fred Meyers walking distance. As well. Otherwise...

Best hotel in town! I love the kitchen and the staff is always incredible!
The hotel is top notch , and Lucy at the front desk is exceptional and makes the check in and stay great.
This is an amazing hotel with very pleasant, accommodating, and friendly staff. The location is perfect for my job needs. The great experience starts at the front desk with Ms Lucy Bailey!! Loved how late the pool was open and how family friendly the hotel is
Making sure room's ard clean before guest check in
Housekeeping need to request, if not request no refresh no cleaning at all. When check in they don’t remind us. But after the 1st day we know that then we request next day full cleaning that is good.
The kinda issue is the pull out couch was broken and dirty under and side of the couch.
Great 2 bedroom with lots of space. Makes you feel like you’re in a home versus hotel. Quieter area than some, but we like it. Parking is easy.
Easy to book and check-in. Room was spacious and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was OK. Sofa bed was a bit too saggy. Overall, good and will consider again when needing a room in the area.

Very pleased with our accommodations at Aspen Suites Midtown Anchorage but the best part of our multiple stays in Anchorage was KiKi. When she was at the front desk we were always welcomed with a smile. She was also a tremendous source of information about local Alaska — a great concierge! She made our first experience in Alaska memorable.
The front desk clerks, Mata and Nicole, provided exceptional service characterized by their warm welcome and kindness. I sincerely appreciate their efforts in making me feel at home during my check-in process. The room was exemplary, and I particularly enjoyed the amenities offered in the kitchen. The hotel was clean and maintained a quiet atmosphere, contributing to a pleasant stay.
The room was more than expected. It was ready for me to do all my own cooking, cleaning, had dinnerware clean and ready. The service was impeccable - they left me alone! Quick and easy process to get the room, and though there could be more amenities, I was glad to be more self-sufficient. All within close areas to the airport, restaurants, and stores.
Friendly staff. Quiet, safe, clean space for travelers. Very close to all amenities. Starbucks next door a bonus on some very snowy days. Able to walk there for breakfast while they plowed the streets. Highly recommend this hotel. Great value.
Our room was clean and had everything we needed in it! The hotel staff were friendly and approachable, and the lobby area and halls were well kept! 10/10! My husband was very impressed! (which is hard to do lol)
Perfect spot for a hotel. Easy in and out to maximize time spent in the CITY. The price is right with a friendly staff and working crew. Rented the double queen option which proves comfortable and quiet. Keep up the great hospitality for up and coming customers. Thank you, A satisfied customer.

Definitely loud sometimes with being very close to the Main Street but Ok. They can really improve the cleanliness though. The shower had hair and was sticky. The bathroom floor was like slimy and moist. I had to use a towel as a rug to not step on the bathroom floor and rinse the shower tub before showering. I really enjoyed staying on the second floor rather than the first. I felt way more safe and...
I love the area this hotel is in and it's surprisingly nice compared to what I was expecting with the low nightly rate. The shower has great water pressure and gets good and hot; I love that in a hotel. Parking is great and you can walk to multiple shopping and dining establishments.
The staff were very friendly and the place was cute and comfy but the bathroom could have been cleaner. The toilet and shower were not clean. As well as the heater in the room, we could not control it because it was broken. It got so hot we had to crack open the window and turn the fan on which helped a bit. The window knob as well was a bit broken so it was hard to close and open.
So the young lady at the desk when I checked in was pretty rude. I arrived at the motel at 9:15pm and the main entrance was locked and nobody was behind the checkout desk. After knocking loudly for a few minutes, a female in her late 20’s appeared with a very irritated look on her face like I had arrived late and was interrupting her soap opera

This was a budget room in a budget hotel. It lived up to the title. Not good, not bad. Adequate for our needs at the time. Staff was great!
Very clean and very quiet and also staff was very nice and kept it simple. Ejnoyed that stay very much thank you.
Room was clean and smelled fresh. Furnishings were tidy and amenities well stocked. The soap bars were too small to be practical, so I would like to suggest supplying larger bars of soap. The front desk clerk was very cordial and greeted me with a smile and gave her undivided attention in our transactions.
Staff was very kind and very accommodating, wonderful customer service. The room was very clean and great for our quick visit up north
Had to ask for shampoo and hair dryer and Kleenex at front desk. Place was clean and beds comfortable.

The room was spacious and spotless. Very comfortable beds. Also extremely close to the Anchorage Airport, so very convenient!
The breakfast was a nice added benefit but not necessary. They did have coffee all day long which was great. The airport shuttle was prompt and on time and is only a couple minutes away from the airport. The staff was excellent and very helpful. We ended up leaving a phone app the hotel room and they ended up bringing it back to us to the front counter. They drove their own personal vehicle.
The room was large & very quiet! Bed was comfortable! Would like to see healtheir choices for breakfast like oatmeal & fruit
Everything was clean and comfortable the staff was very helpful and polite and we were treated very well. The food offered was edible but nothing special but not bad for free we stay at comfort for the convenience and the nice rooms and pleasant employees
Cozy clean and comfortable The breakfast was delicious! My kids loved the hot chocolate set out anytime. The building and rooms were very clean and inviting. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would 100% recommend!!

It’s centrally located with free pickup from the airport. Areas for improvement: The lighting - some switches did not work. The cleanliness - the carpets along the hallway were in need of cleaning.
Stayed for a couple of nights. The room was clean, but you can already see that the furniture is a little outdated. Towels and bed linen were fresh. Breakfast is ordinary, without much variety, but we did not go hungry. The staff is polite, responsive, always ready to help.
The main hotel building was burned and abandoned. Another building is open for business. The room is large but the hygiene is poor. The kitchen was not usable at all. The curtains do not block out light. The advantage is that it is cheap.
Service was GREAT. And You can't go wrong with location because there are multiple restaurants around the hotel within walking distance to and from hotel.
The room is quite big. There is a kitchen in the second bedroom and one living room, where you can cook and eat. It's good. The environment is average, not too far from the airport, there is a frozen lake nearby and the scenery is beautiful.
The room we had was okay, clean but we we're disturbed by drunks singing for a couple of hours and there was a crazy lady knocking at our door to ask where the coffee room was. She actually knocked on our door twice which was when we called the front desk.

Checked in after having problem finding a parking place. Room was ok with two double beds, TV, and small refrigerator. We did not use the shower. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast consisted of breakfast bars, prepackaged muffins, and coffee. Very slim pickings for the price they charged for the room. Hotel carpeting was rather worn and needed cleaning.
It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown area! If price is your priority, I think it's enough.
Nice location & our host most of the time I noticed was Michael. Breakfast was coffee, muffins & oatmeal. Coffee was OK but if you're going out I'd get something better. Rooms were nice enough. Was nice to have on site laundry but the dryers weren't the greatest. Would stay again though.
Staying at the hotel for a business trip. There was water still in the tub, there was no shampoo and conditioner because they said they are sold out. We went out for the day and when we came back, the beds we're not made. Continental breakfast consists of packaged muffins and coffee.
It's good for a cheaper hotel. Clean rooms and includes breakfast. Room had a kitchenette, including microwave, fridge, and stove. Can request pots and bowls and some other kitchen items. Breakfast was a bit boring though. Only coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal, granola bars, and prepackaged muffins. Also, room did not have a hair dryer. Great cute little place! Stayed in February when I didn’t have friends to stay with. My only advice would be to redo the bathroom liner around the tub, but the bathroom itself was very clean and kept. Loved the little amenities in the room that made it very convenient. Did not use the kitchen or workout areas but they looked great!
Decent enough location in town, only a 5 min walk from Walmart and 20 min to Kaladi Brothers coffee and other restaurants. Safe area though.
