Throughout our stay, from the moment of arrival to departure, the hotel provided an outstanding experience, certainly deserving of a ten-star rating. The room was impeccably clean, and the bed linens were of the highest quality. The view was truly spectacular, and the room offered exceptional comfort, especially at night. We enjoyed cocktails at the on-site restaurant on several occasions, and each experience was delightful. I wholeheartedly recommend including their breakfast option when making your reservation. While I am not typically a breakfast enthusiast, the culinary offerings were simply divine, and I highly recommend them.

Service was great. Every staff greeted me every time I came across someone and they are always happy to help with anything. The lobby smelled heavenly. Everywhere is clean. A bit disappointed with their restaurants. I've only seen ANZU open for breakfast during my stay. You can get buffet or a la carte. Went to the Japanese restaurant for dinner. Food was average. Overall good hotel but maybe eat somewhere else.

Hotel Nikko in San Francisco is now my favorite hotel in the entire world! Greggory Robinson, the Front Desk Manager, was so gracious, charming, helpful and kind, and he went above and beyond to make my stay ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Thanks so much to Greggory, also to Peter on the telephone at check out who was so efficient and helpful, as were Luis & Miguel in the Imperial Room, Maria and Monica in Housekeeping, and Theresa at check in! What an amazing staff of lovely, warm, thoughtful authentic people that work at the Hotel Nikko!!! Absolutely the best in hospitality in all of San Francisco!!! The view from my suite of the sunrise on the morning of September 24th is something that I will carry in my heart forever!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Nikko San Francisco! A special mention to the bellhop team, June and Marlow, whose warm and welcoming presence made every return to the hotel feel personal and inviting. Their genuine hospitality left a lasting impression. The front desk team was efficient and professional, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The facilities such as the swimming pool, steam room and gym were really impressive. The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, and the bed provided excellent comfort - all of which were highly appreciated. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return whenever I am back in San Francisco.

I want to highlight how amazing this boutique hotel is. The staff were very kind and friendly and super welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. From the bell hops, anne vallet to the front check-in staff, the maintenance and housekeeping staff were always full of smiles and very polite. The staff ensured that we we're fully accommodated during our stay. The room is very clean. I love the layout of the walk-in with the mirror to the right. A separate closet and the bathroom were more upscale at the separate shower and bathtub. The room was spacious, and we had plenty of space. I highly recommend this hotel. There are very few hotels with pools in this neighborhood. You will encounter children in the pool area. you may prefer to relax in the steam or sauna rooms for adult self care time.

Very bad experience, the attitude of front desk sucks. Especially you have to pay extra Amenity Fee $40 per night and this is not INCLUDED when you book the hotel online.

Despite being in the US, the hotel staffs gave the very Japanese care feeling which was very nice. The hotel is quite old but properly maintained. The room is great with everything working. Comfy bed. Totally happy we booked this hotel

We stayed at Hotel Nikko for two nights and had a wonderful experience overall. The service was excellent — staff were consistently friendly and helpful, even providing us with detailed instructions for our trip to Yosemite, which we really appreciated.
The hotel amenities were great too — the pool and gym were clean, well-maintained, and a nice bonus for winding down after a long day of sightseeing. The location is central and convenient for getting around San Francisco.
One thing to note: while the hotel itself feels safe and upscale, it’s located quite close to the Tenderloin district, which has a visible presence of homelessness and can feel a bit uncomfortable, especially at night. It's worth being aware of your surroundings when walking in the area.
Overall, Hotel Nikko is a solid choice if you're looking for comfort, good service, and great facilities in the heart of the city.
