Courtyard by Marriott Miami West/ FL Turnpike in Miami

I waited before writing this review, as I was assured multiple times that a manager would be reaching out to me. Ten days later, I’m still waiting. At this point, the silence feels less like an oversight and more like a reflection of how this property is managed.

While shampooing my hair, the water abruptly turned ice cold. Not exactly the invigorating spa moment I had in mind. I rinsed off as best I could, wrapped myself in a towel, and called the front desk. The response was a very casual: “I’ll let the guys check the boilers… I’ll let you know.” No apology, no urgency, just a promise of a follow-up that never came.

Twenty minutes later, still no call. I reached out again and was told, “They got it going, give it five minutes.” Again, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. At this point, I had already lost confidence.

Later that day, I requested housekeeping before heading out. I was assured by the same agent (In person at the front desk) that my room would be taken care of. After returning late that evening, I found the room untouched.

To his credit, the evening front desk associate was polite and apologetic, and he kindly noted my request for a manager to follow up. I repeated this request again at checkout, only to receive yet another assurance… and, ultimately, no response.

Beyond the service issues, the property itself left much to be desired: a musty room, carpets that felt overdue for replacement, and a bathroom floor that was sticky and, frankly, unpleasant.

At the end of the day, it wasn’t just the lack of hot water, it was the lack of accountability. Things can go wrong in any hotel. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, in this case, they simply weren’t. I won't be returning.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. After checking in on a Saturday for a weekend stay, there was NO water in the hotel, nobody told me at check in yet everybody in the staff knew about it. I was given another room at different floor with the promise that water would be available in one hour. It came back in three hours at 9pm
Next day, there was NO hot water in the hotel. I waited till 2pm and had to take a very cold water shower !!!
Upon check out I was told I would be compensated with extra points, it's been 3 weeks and has not happened.
