Waikiki Central Hotel, Honolulu1 / 9
8.3
Honolulu, 2431 Prince Edward St (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Good location and clean room, but it's too close to food truck area and we smelled bbq smell when we opened the door
The location is great, right behind the Hyatt. There is a little noise at night, but it's not too much of a bother. There is free water and coffee, and the receptionist was very friendly!
Extreme odor nuisance from food stalls directly in front of the hotel, which made its way into our room (even through the air conditioning).
It was about 50 minutes from the airport to the hotel by city bus (3 dollars), and it was close to Waikiki Beach, and there were many restaurants and a shopping mall nearby, so I was satisfied. It was nice that I could rent beach chairs, towels, and other water play equipment for free, but the Wi-Fi in the room was not good, so I couldn't use it, which was inconvenient.
The location of the hotel is very good. It's only a 3-minute walk from the beach. The hotel also rents out beach chairs, parasols and swimming rings. The toilet in the room is very small and the cleaning is not complete. A Coke can was found under the bed, but the staff is friendly and it's very close to the bus station. , suitable for travelers who prioritize location.
The staff at the counter are very friendly and have a great attitude. The room is large. The location is very good, just across the street from Waikiki Beach. You can walk to the busiest street. It is very convenient. There are free rental floats and deck chairs downstairs. The price is OK.

A Perfect 22-Hour Layover Stay at Ala Moana Hotel Our 22-hour layover in Hawaii turned into a wonderful mini-stay at Ala Moana Hotel. We booked a queen room with a view at the Kona Tower, and it was perfect for a short but memorable visit. What we loved most about the hotel is the location. Everything is literally walkable — the beach, shopping centers, and restaurants are all just steps away. The...
The room is clean. They have a microwave, small fridge and coffee pot. The location is a bit distance to Waikiki Beach.
The location of the hotel is great. Plenty of restaurants at a walking distance and of course the Ala Moana Center or mall next door, which has a great food court and Foodlands store. The hotel has Pint and Jigger bar which was great. The breakfast spread at the hotel was delicious. Excellent staffs at reception, breakfast area, and other members. They were super sweet and gave a lot of tips about...
On the first day I found a small cockroach crawling around in the drawer where I had placed my undergarments - a terrible start. The bed was also the softest one I’ve slept on in a hotel - probably in the past 20 years. Members from my group in other rooms also agreed the bed was “too soft” and didn’t provide much back support, making the mornings a little rough. The staff was nice and helpful, parking...
1) The escalator leading from the lobby to the mezzanine level was out of order. Given the makeshift barrier on the mezzanine level, it looked like the escalator had been out of commission for some time. Quite a shame from a convenience standpoint. 2) I had checked into the hotel after midnight because of a flight delay so I was pretty exhausted and fell asleep quickly after taking a shower, brushing...
Room was little too small and was noisy.

The room itself was old and had a lot of issues, - the mini fridge, the tv, the wifi did not work. I got help getting the wifi but it is clearly a very old hotel. I was told the entire building had some new tv issue where it would only work with a new Smart Tv, but I am not really sure that is true. The bed was very comfortable and the room was air conditioned. The view was spectacular though!
The room was clean and well appointed, with an excellent view. The staff were courteous and helpful. I also enjoyed the 10th floor viewing deck. The location was convenient for activities and services. It was a good trip.
It was ok for what we paid. Didn’t know there was a cleaning fee. Had a beautiful deck
Staff was very nice. The room was clean, bathroom kind of small like in Asia. Great location in Waikiki, everything is close by. Easy ways to rent a car, easy way to book a Luau, sunset dinner in the ocean. I'll be back!
The pictures were not the room we had, we paid extra for the sz. of the room including a couch. But the views were the best!!! Internet service was aweful and the small table was missing the glass in the middle & only 1 chair, but the staff were friendly & accomodating as they could be since these rooms are privately owned. We paid extra but got less!!!
Not value for money The location was convenient and the staff were welcoming. The room, however, was not very clean and there were no services provided. Too much noise from outside while the property charged hidden fees as well, and different fees than what was communicated at the booking stage. A form of deceit there. The checking out time was changed without notice and were asked to leave earlier...

First time I traveled 🧳 and stayed in the Waikīkī Beach 🏖️ Tower. I like the way they set up inside the hotel. Ocean views in the balconies amazing 😻. Coming back for a vacation. I will have my to stay again here Waikīkī Beach 🏖️ Tower. Enjoy very much our stay. Thank you 🙏 🌸🌺
We stayed for a week. Made the reservation with bookings.com. Hotel did not care and were very responsive to my questions. Hotel is centrally located in Waikiki. Cross the road and you are in a fantastic beach. Hanauma Bay was like 30 mins. Pearl Harbor similar. North Shore about 55 mins. The check-in was smooth and the person (Mr. Kalani?) escorted us to our 2 bedroom, 2 bath spacious room and...
Excellent Stay at Aston Waikiki Beach Tower. Our stay at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm and welcoming. The front desk staff greeted us with genuine hospitality, offering a refreshing cold juice and a cool towel — a thoughtful touch that instantly made us feel relaxed after travel. The service...
We had no idea this hotel was going to be so fabulous. The staff was incredible and when we walked into our two bedroom suite we were blown away. It was immaculate it had everything we needed. Two full bathrooms, two bedrooms, living room, a full kitchen and dining room and the balcony was out of this world. As we stood on the balcony we could look right across the street at the beautiful Waikiki Beach...
Fantastic place if you can afford it. Staff is A+. Cleanest apartment I have ever rented. Well equipped kitchen with CLEAN dishes and pans. Hot tub was good. My only complaint is the AC controls don't work well. I asked for someone to look at them and they just turned the temp settings to 50 degrees and really didn't fix anything... the apartments are worth millions?? and they won't replace cheapo...
Overall it's OK, there is an electric rice cooker, you can cook porridge and meals at regular times, the kitchen utensils are complete, the only thing missing is cleaning the bathroom. Once the floor was not cleaned, there were hairs all over the floor. No parking fee, someone will help you park, give a proper tip, the beach is just across the road, the floor we booked is a little low, the balcony...

We have stayed here before, enjoy the room,. Ac is great, love the kitchen option and bed is comfortable. Only complaint was internet connection was off and on and we were here partially for work. Apparently has been on going issue for months so should’ve been taken care of in my opinion. Pool and hot tub is great outside of some of the staff. They are 3rd party and was quite unprofessional possibly...
Location is perfect right in the heart of Waikiki. Front desk was always helpful and gave us an easy check in/ check out. Only downside to the property is the parking which is to be expected but highly recommended booking a parking stall before hand. All in all it is a safe, reliable, and great place to stay for an affordable price!!
Bar staff was very friendly. Resort fee was a bit unnecessary.
The staff was very nice. Management will only allow room cleaning after the 7th day but they do give you refills on any amenities. The pool and hot tub were great after long walks. And the beach is very close. It was also close to the bus stops which we used to tour the whole island. We will always remeber our stay here. Shout out to Tom and Cecilia! They help you with a smile!
Very outdated and musky smelling . Was there a week and one day had to ask for towels twice. The room did its job by allowing us to speep from 10 pm to 430 am but the hallways smell. So we stayed out. Quick distance to the beach and good food and shopping
The courtyard with tropical trees, small pool, and tiki theme restaurant was wonderful, we loved it. The front desk staff and house keepers were all friendly and very helpful. This building looked very old, but well maintained. Our room had newer kitchen and fridge, good for a long stay. No hidden charge at the check out, exactly as explained at the time of booking.

Decent, clean rooms. Helpful and polite staff. Great location for the price! Honestly don't have any complaints about our stay. Everything is within walking distance for Waikiki. The rooms aren't anything fancy but they're clean, the beds are comfy, and if you're in Hawaii you shouldn't be spending too much time in your room anyways. Only real drawback is the parking price: $45 per day.
Highly recommend this cute aqua boutique hotel. Complementary coffee and filtered water. Front desk staffing and housekeeping all so very friendly. Absolutely love that they use HAWAIIAN TROPICS in the rooms. Ask for room 924 we had amazing views of Diamond Head and ocean views on the lanai. Small refrigerator in the room with a coffee maker. They also have an ice machine, plus offer laundry. Free...
My wife and I stayed at Aqua Palms Waikiki for our honeymoon, and the experience turned out to be absolutely wonderful. When we first arrived, we were placed in a room with two separate beds, which wasn’t ideal for a honeymoon. However, this was quickly turned around thanks to the incredible help of the receptionist, Kasey. She went above and beyond to help us move into an amazing room with a king...
Cheaper than other hotels in the area, but it’s totally fine. I stayed there on a business trip. The location is great — close to the Convention Center and also not far from the beach, right in between. There are plenty of places to eat nearby (I also recommend the food trucks nearby — just a 5-minute walk away.). The rooms are very nice, though the bathtub was a downside — very old, with a dirty rubber...
Nice hotel. Some nice bell's and whistles. Only major problems I saw was mold in air dryer vents. The service is pretty good.
The room was better than most I've stayed at on Oahu. decently clean, an air conditioner that will actually cool the room, and a fridge. The shower was horrible though. It was the handicap accessible type shower head, in a normal tub. The shower hose was situated upwards, so gravity would make it kink unless you wrapped it around the top post of the holder, and the head would pop out of the holder...

The local tax (to be paid on arrival) was understated by half. Nice view, basic, clean, good price, easy to main bus routes.
There is a fee for storing your bag after check-in/check-out ($5 per bag). The towels in the room smelled moldy.
The room was average, not very big, but close to the city center and the beach.
The front desk staff was very kind and I was grateful. It was about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. It was around 11pm, so it was about $66 including the late-night fare. During the day, it was about $50.
No frills but it’s a bed and clean shower. Good discount stay.
Excellent location for the price. Hotel is mid but I got a real good deal out of it so not gonna complain. Great view if you get one of the upper floors

The hotel is right on Waikiki Beach 🏖️, offering beautiful views and perfect for swimming and strolls. It's also super convenient with plenty of great food options and shops located right within the hotel. Plus, there are fireworks 🧨 every weekend!
The Rainbow Tower is perfect for a family of four, with two spacious queen-sized beds (1.5 meters wide). This tower is one of the newer buildings within the Hilton property. A higher floor offers better views. We were on the 30th floor (upgrading to an ocean view room costs an additional $65 per day, which we didn't do). Facing directly towards the Reef Island, and with half the ocean visible, it’s...
Stayed in the Tapa Tower with a partial ocean view. The hotel feels like a big park, very suitable for families with kids. Hotels in Hawaii are generally a bit older, and this one has been renovated. The front desk service was just okay. The hotel has everything, including two Starbucks, so it's quite decent overall.
I paid an extra $150 to upgrade to an Alii Tower ocean view room, but the floor was too low, so the view wasn't ideal. Room 427's advantage was its view of the beach fireworks show, but they were canceled due to rain. There weren't many options when we tried to switch rooms. I'd recommend trying to get a higher floor; the view from the upper floors of the same building is much better – we specifically...
Hotel is excellent for families given everything is onsite with multiple pools and right on the beach. Room is a bit outdated, although enough to sleep and shower
The facilities are quite old, not even comparable to some budget chains back home. But its location and the view are unbeatable. It's just a 10-minute walk to the Alamo, and there's parking nearby if you're renting a car.

Nice visit, facility was clean and staff was great
Everything was wonderful at the lagoon tower, amenities, staff, cleanliness, views were all perfect! Front desk at the main lobby should have been a lot more helpful in helping us find the right tower though - that was very frustrating after 15hrs of travel and trying to navigate it in the dark.
Clean room but hot tub was down almost our whole trip and pools closed super early 6pm. Washer & dryers didnt work well and hot water was out for awhile.
Great location, bed was very comfortable, room had a kitchen . Staff was very friendly and available to assist you.
This property was great and we would stay here again. There are amazing pools and it’s in a very convenient location. The only issue was our laundry was stolen from the laundry room, this was disappointing and the hotel did not help look into security footage or seem too concerned.

The hotel is old… bathroom is old , bath tub have stains, water shower weak , wall have stain and crack … room use too much air freshener . I can’t breathe.. A lot more negative 😢😢😢
◼️Good point ・Since this hotel is near downtown, it was easily go to restaurants, souvenir shops and Waikiki beach. ・Free tea, coffee and water is available in the lobby. ◼️Bad point ・Since the wall in our room was thin, it was noisy because of the outside noise. ・When I took a shower, the water was lukewarm. ・Our room was a little bit stinky.
Very good location, lots of bar and restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and cool. The housekeeping is on point, and there’s also a laundry in the hotel. The parking is quite expensive though (around 67$) so we canceled our car. It’s our second time here, we will definitely choose Ohia waikiki hotel again

Second stay. Great location and very nice
We had to add the date because our stay was longer and the system didn’t connect with third party and original date. Customer service replied me really slow but it was polite if I asked update a few times. Quick check in service and good location
Great hotel on the edge of Waikiki. Easy quick walk to all the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but just outside enough for it to be a bit calmer. Fort Derussy park is right next door which is a nice retreat for some quieter open relaxing space. Nicely furnished and equipped room. The included hula and music performance with wine and cheese was entertaining. Small but nice pool and functional gym.
Good location to walk to Old City area. Clean and comfortable rooms. convenient onsite marketplace.
Luana Hotel was wonderful! The location was perfect! The staff were delightful. Sharisse at the front desk was so sweet! She made my husband and I lei for a Luau that we attended! We loved Hawaii. Thanks Luana Hotel!!
The air conditioner is very loud and the curtains are only half full. The advantage is that the kitchen is fully equipped and you can cook your own meals.

Stayed for almost a week and don’t regret it! So many positives: reasonable $ for the area, hotel staff were all polite and helpful, provided beach towels, clean, private, 24/7 front desk, and VERY close to the beach. Can’t ask for more! Dinged a star for the karaoke bar that’s attached to the lobby (technically inside the hotel). Had to deal with a few randos from there. DID I MENTION THE VIEWS
Perfectly adequate. Staff were always friendly and very helpful. Great location, very central. Room was clean everyday. Shower a bit small. Bed was comfy and thats all we needed. We were only there to sleep anyway there's too much to see outside!
We stayed there for a week. There were a few bumps in the road, but they made everything good, We left very happy and will stay there again next year. There is really to much to say good about them, everybody there was very kind and friendly. They gave us a lot of discounts because of a non working elevator, discounted our room rates and gave us free parking. over $250 off .
Ok. I read the reviews. I am an airline employee just spending an inexpensive weekend in Waikiki. I found this gem in the heart of Waikiki and love every bit of it. Sure you don’t have all the luxuries of a 5 star but it is quaint, the staff simply lovely, the bed comfortable, it’s clean and geez. I can’t find one thing to complain about! Aloha!
Very clean and quite place.ideal for a two person getaway... Rooms are a little smaller than expected the amenities at the offer to make up for it
We came back from the Stay last week. Basically you get what you pay for its a budget hotel, however the room is a good size, bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly. Excellent location for walking around Waikiki Beach area for meals, shopping and the beach. The free car parking was great. The room we had was in need of a new coat of paint on the walls and doors. What can I say - i mean this hotel is a 5 minute walk from work which is just perfect. And the hotel is old, yes, and it doesnt have many facilities, yes, but it did what it was supposed to, to give me a place to rest and put my head down for a good night sleep and it did exactly that. I am happy. I would use it again.
The hotel's location is okay, but it's on the edge of Waikiki, about a half-hour walk to the center, so it's not very convenient. The hotel facilities are old; the paint is peeling, the wallpaper is torn, the pillows are worn out, and the amenities look very dated, probably not renovated in 20 years. Daily cleaning is a plus, though. The price is acceptable; it's alright for the price.
Great location. Great front desk staff. Even though traditional room is clean.
More than adequate for an overnight stay. Very good location near Waikiki Beach, with its shops and restaurants. The amenities are perfectly adequate (air conditioning, refrigerator, coffee maker, TV), the room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and there's even a small (clean) pool right behind the bar. All in all, it's very good value for money.
Room was comfortable, but bathroom very tight and in need of a little repair work. Food was delicious at the bar and service was very friendly.
The location is quite good, but the room is small, the overall service is good, recommended

The location is a definite highlight—convenient and easy to get around. However, the bathroom and common areas feel dated and could benefit from an upgrade to match the otherwise good setting.
Location is great, you are close to everything. The room was good and will definitely come back.
The room was spacious, and the complimentary breakfast and cocktail hour were truly appreciated. The omelets at breakfast were especially delicious. However, I did notice that hair accumulated in the bathroom area for several days, which was quite bothersome.
I booked a standard room, but I think it was off-peak season because they upgraded me to a room with an ocean view, which I was thrilled about! The shower took a while to get hot, which was a bit of a struggle, but the room itself was spacious and perfect for a family trip, with a very convenient location and amenities. The free drinks and breakfast were also satisfying. Thank you for your hospitality
I've stayed here several times. After the pandemic, I tried other hotels and recently returned to the Embassy.
