You have a lounge to access with free beverages including an honor bar system where you can make your own drinks. You get breakfast and snacks included too. I had a king room with a city view

It is a major safety hazard with adults and children slipping all over the place. My child fell 3 times just trying to slowly walk back to the pool. One of those times she hit her head on the metal part of the pool chair

Stayed at the Renaissance for a business trip so didn't use many of the amenities but I love our stays there because its a beautiful hotel, really nice updated spotless rooms in a great location

Pool was very cold and not very clean, the pool deck had rusted metal fragments everywhere. The beds were not comfortable, with very flat pillows and thin blankets only.

Clean room and public spaces. Jezzie at the front desk and Marcos at breakfast were awesome! They were huge positives to the stay.

We also called for towels because the shower leaked onto the tile no matter what and they never arrived. I did stop by the front desk and spoke to the manager who was very nice and addressed our concerns

The pool was always crowded except for late at night and it was not heated as advertised (and ultimately why we chose this hotel for my 50th) so we didn’t enjoy what we hoped for

Sadly during NYE the road in front of the hotel was closed and we couldn’t get to it for valet and parking and had to park in a parking garage a block away. Not a big deal but also not much bathroom privacy

Absolutely perfect stay at the Tommie. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Location is convenient to downtown and walkable to South Congress and other surrounding areas

I highly recommend going to the Austin visitor center a block away to get your bearings and take the city tour, that helped me decide what I wanted to do next and where everything is

Wanted to use the pool, but unfortunately it was always occupied by kids while day. It would be nice if it was somehow regulated, so everyone can get to use pool. Otherwise, very clean properly

We love Hotel Van Zandt! We do think the valet fee is ridiculous though. And we wish they had a hot tub. But overall a wonderful hotel for adults in Austin.

The Four Seasons Austin is an institution as far back as I can remember in Austin when it was the only luxury hotel in town. Located right next to the river, overlooking the congress street bats as well

The room itself is very well appointed, luxurious bedding, heavenly bed, large sitting area. Doesn't really have a great work desk which is an issue for business travelers, but perfect for vacation

The lobby itself is impressively luxurious, opening onto a grand bar, seating areas, and then check in areas tucked away. The service is impeccable, from the valet at the front to the front desk

The pool amenity was a plus, even if you’re not going to swim, it’s such a nice place to relax and lay back, especially during the later hours into the night

We got the tickets for the free drinks although we couldn’t use as the bar closed early with no prior notice or signage posted. We received the probation a few days early, but with not enough time to book another place

The toilet tank was loose and looked like it was about to fall, which scared me a couple of times. There’s also construction going on, so it’s definitely better to be out of the room during the day

I qualified for an upgrade, but it wasn’t offered to me, which was frustrating. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I wasn’t impressed this time. On the positive side, the staff is very friendly

I was in awe the entire time at this hotel! It is beautifully decorated and styled. The staff from entry to exit were all great. The drinks and food were yummy, pricey but yummy

I can certainly make up our own bed but all of our towels were dirty and on the bathroom floor and we had to call down and wait for new towels

Whatever lack of lighting the main area of the room suffers from the bathroom more than makes up for, with essentially bright, white, fluorescent stadium lighting

On the latter, the main room area has only 3 rather small localized lamps; no overhead lights at all…pretty dark (and we had a great view), if you like that

Overall, I loved the hotel, but I did come way about $200 lighter and significantly more self conscious because of that mirror and searchlight lighting…
