Checking wasn't staffed and I waited almost 5 minutes. Room was clean, but carpet badly stained and wallpaper was pealing in the bathroom. Room layout was great, kitchen area organized and well supplied. Overall hotel layout was strange. Location good, but signage lacking.

By far one of the best hotels in the area. The beds and rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly. Perfect location for easy access to entertainment and food. Great for everyone!

BEWARE. All 4 of my Grand Cherokee wheels and tires were stolen overnight. No outdoor cameras for any type of security. We could see the main entrance from the car- it was in plain sight…not even hidden.
They double booked our room with family, and assigned us to the same room rather than our separate rooms that we had previously booked.
Rooms were clean enough, but had a musty stench. Toilet wouldn’t stop running.
Staff was slightly helpful and friendly, but couldn’t help us very much.
Not impressed overall.

I arrived closed to midnight after a terrible experience at a different hotel. I was so glad they had rooms available as I was traveling cross country with my pup. The front desk assistant, Maryann was so sweet and kind and got us set up with a room for the night. The room was nice and smelled nice too!

The place is simple, quiet and spacious rooms. But I put a solid 5 starts to the amazing personnel. They were so kind to help me print some papers I needed for the conference. I also forgot my belongings in the room and they were so helpful to get it back. Very pleasent people, very professional.

The DOO TO OUR ROOM WOULD NOT LOCK. We were moved to another roomAND THAT DOOR DID LOCK EITHER. We’ve stayed here several times in recent years Marriott Residence Inn West university, and with each of the past three visits we found the a little dumpier, more poorly maintained. If Marriott has decided to let this place degenerate, reconsider: We don’t know the manager but we do know the Marriott brand.

Have stayed at this property at least 10 times over the past three years on my frequent trips to the Medical Center. I have noticed a decline in its upkeep and roaches present during the past couple of visits, tv not working properly toilet problems, and the most recent experience was the worst. I was overcharged on my bill even though I had the reservation in hand and was told 'there was nothing the front desk could do about it but management would take care of it'. I had to frequently call them over the next couple of weeks to correct the problem and they were unable to do so. In fact, the local manager refused to even speak to me anymore and left messages with his staff to let me know that. I had to finally contact Marriott guest services who corrected the problem for me. It took three weeks to get my credit on the credit card I used. Not a good experience so I told Marriott that I would look elsewhere for my future hotel plans in Houston.

My go to when traveling is usually Residence Inn. However this one is on my do not go ever list. Found a dirty footprint in the bath tub and after much complaining the front desk guy came because there was no housekeeping on duty. Turns out it was a rust stain that would not come off. Ok. We also discovered our phone wasn’t working so they brought a new phone and tried it at 3 different outlets. Said they would have to call the phone company. In the meantime use your cell phone. Next morning we woke up congested and sore throat. Looked at the air intake vent which was blackened by heavy dust and dirt build up. Complained about it but wasn’t fixed for 2 days. So much for enhanced cleaning! This hotel is showing some serious wear along with a skeleton staff who cannot keep up with the problems. I will never know if these things were fixed because on my next visit to Houston I’ll go somewhere else. On another note fyi, this hotel does not have any king bed rooms at all, or so they said.

Witnessed Female staff displaying very off-putting behavior borderline discriminatory towards guest. After speaking with the guests i was informed that was not their first experience. Again this is my witness account.
