The State Hotel

I’m one of those people who is very picky with hotels. I normally will only book a premium Hilton or Marriott, but when exploring hotels I saw The State Hotel and while it wasn’t a chain it looked very premium. I was not disappointed. The hotel is very nice. It’s very modern and the staff very friendly. They have a snack cart that’s free and has a great variety that most hotels would normally charge you for. They always have fresh fruit as well, which was very nice. The room is a smaller room than most, but really it’s the perfect and has everything you’d need. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the sheets are among the softest I’ve had even better than the big chains. The bathroom is very modern and clean, loved the shampoo/conditioner/soap brand it felt like a high end brand. Overall very very impressed and can’t say it enough. The rooftop overlook is beautiful and lots of sitting to just take in the outdoors. I went to every floor and enjoyed the unique wallpaper outside the elevators, so unique! Parking is off site but they have a deal rate with the local garages, I even went out late at night and felt very safe and the hotel locks at night and requires a keycard for entry.

Book this hotel! You won’t regret it!!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. It has nicely appointed rooms, only a 2 minute walk from Pike Place Market, and is very fairly priced for the location.
The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a nice-looking restaurant on the first floor, and also very close to a lot of other great places to eat right on the waterfront.
We'd stay here again when in the area.

This is a great hotel! The room (king bed city view) is a little tight for two people, as there is not enough room to open two carry-on size suitcases, but the bed is so comfortable and the bathroom is large. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful, and there are free snacks and free continental breakfast, which is very convenient. The robes are comfy too. The eighth-floor patio has plenty of seating and an incredible view of the market and the water. In general the hotel has such a convenient location. Highly recommend!

Best place to stay i Seattle. Staff went out of there way to make everything exceptional. Rooms are small (it is an older building), but the place is clean and all of the details well thought out. Fresh pastries in the lobby in the morning come from the adjacent restaurant. You can tell they have a fantastic pastry chef.

The hotel is one block from Pike Market, so doing the tourist thing is easy. I would recommend coming back to the restaurant for meals as the food, service, and atmosphere cant be beat and far exceeds the experience you will get trying to eat at Pike Market.

So stuck in Seattle due to my aircraft going tech. Needed a nice hotel. This was perfect.
Great location, right next to pike Street market. Funky hotel decor. Good sized rooms. Super comfortable bed with bed linen that is so luxurious..... Dreamy.
The hotel has security on the door which is reassuring and they are super funny.
Not used the bistro as a great little diner around the corner.
Highly recommended.
Shame only one lift in action.

Couldn’t be any happier with my stay! The hotel is pretty neat, with a cool artistic twist and a laid back vibe. Location is fantastic, everything you probably looking forward to see is within walking distance. It was a nice continental breakfast and a bunch of different snacks throughout the day. Staff is very sweet and welcoming, especially manager, Rowen, who welcomed me to check-in very early and upgraded my room to the room with a view, which by the way is stunning!

Wow! The front desk staff was great. Room was perfect even with a view of pikes market. It was pouring out so we chose to eat at the hotel. Unbeknownst to us it’s such a great restaurant that lots of people had made reservations. Even with that in consideration we got in. I was very impressed with the food. The staff was hustling to take care of everybody. What a fun atmosphere right in downtown Seattle!
