The owner is a fabulous person. He is so nice that he came himself to the Samarkand Railway station to pick us up. And that's for free. It's incredible !! During our stay, he gave all kinds of advice to make our tour fruitful. The Amir Temur mausoleum is only a few steps away from the property. Famous Registan Square is at a 10-minute walking distance from the hotel. Several famous eateries are nearby. All the rooms are well equipped including hairdryers and a fridge. Although rooms are not big. Lavish breakfasts are offered on each day which includes homemade local delicacies. After coming back from the city tour, they offered nice fruits /snacks and tea. It's an additional one that I never experienced earlier. At the end of the corridor, there is a water dispenser. That means you don't have to spend money to purchase drinking water. It is also a wonderful gesture! Given a chance, I shall again come back to the hotel.

The hotel is well located, close to one of the main attractions, Gur-Emir, and beautiful parks.
The dining room, decorated like a bride's room, offers delicious, varied, and filling multi-course breakfasts with dessert and fruit.
The rooms and hallways are clean. There was a water cooler next to our room.
Friendly and kind staff. The owner was knowledgeable and helpful.

Small rooms lovelessly furnished in a tasteless and kitschy Soviet oriental style. You can tell that the operators are oriented towards the well-known needs of Russian tourist groups. It seems that in the current boom in Uzbekistan, the aim is to make as much money as quickly as possible without preserving the magic of the old historic quarter in the long term.
If you have come to Samarkand to breathe in the Uzbek flair, it is better to go one house further to the Attica Guest House, where I went after being disappointed by the Mohina. There you will find a beautiful garden with original, familiar, Uzbek hospitality from two multilingual sisters from whom you can learn a lot about Uzbek culture and way of life. The best breakfast in town is authentic local but also international, if desired in a green garden oasis where you can relax wonderfully, especially on hot summer days. It is a pity that in the current tourist boom such diamonds of hospitality are becoming fewer and fewer and the historic old town is losing more and more of its charm to tasteless new buildings.

I paid for a triple room and was given a twin room with very narrow beds
When I mentioned the issue of the double bed/single bed they said they should have charged me for early check in - I turned up 1 hour early - if they had an issue with this they should have said I had to pay extra then, and not after I left. Customer service = 0.
The mattresses were covered in plastic so it was noisy and sweaty
The bathroom was tiny. When you're sitting in the toilet the knees touch the wall. The shower is tiny and the curtain sticks to your body throughout.
Very noisy neighbours. Bring earplugs.
They do not accept credit cards so bring cash.
