A haven of peace and tranquility, with unbelievably delicious homemade breakfasts (and evening meal if you choose to eat here). Aziza and her sister and family are the epitome of hospitality and helpfulness. Rooms are comfy, clean and spacious and excellent WiFi throughout. Excellent value for money and in good location. Would highly recommend.

Clean comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful owner and staff, delicious food for breakfast and dinner, much locally grown. All served in the garden, very relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Antica is a beautiful, heritage courtyard garden with the guest rooms around the edges. This guesthouse is perfectly situated in characterful narrow streets clisevto all of Samakand's stunning historic sites. The breakfasts are very varied, very generous, very picturesque and delicious. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. The whole place has a really lovely atmosphere.

Antica family guest house is your family house abroad. A beautiful garden in the old Samarkand quarters, surrounded by beautiful rooms decorated in traditional Uzbek style, is an oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city. Aziza is an extremely efficient manager and speaks perfect English. The hotel is managed by women from her family and neighbourhood, which is also an extended family. They cook fantastic meals, breakfast is more like brunch and the dinner was made of fabulous predominantly vegetarian traditional meals.
Beware that the twin room is long and narrow and the beds can’t be put together, so if you are a couple, book the standard double or triple room with garden view. We experienced three types of rooms because one room wasn’t available for the whole time and we wanted to stay Antica, no regrets about one night in single beds:-)

What a gem of a place to stay in Samarkand. All of the main attractions are within walking distance ( Registan, Gur Amir, Shah I Zinda) and after all the sightseeing, you can return to this green oasis. The hardworking women make this guest house something special. The breakfast is dependant on what they have made and you get served lots of plates of interesting delicacies - no ordering is needed as it is all brought to your table. Our family room wasn’t ‘European’ standard but it was clean and comfortable and we were trying to gain an authentic Uzbek guest house - which this is. Thank you for making our stay so welcoming.

Wonderful family guest house. Very welcoming. Walk through the garden to the reception area. The breakfasts are out of this world! I recommend eating a lovely home cooked Uzbek evening meal overlooking the gardens. The rooms are very clean. The bedding of high quality. Location excellent. 10/10 all round!!

This accomodation could have been very nice but it lucks of hygiene conditions and perception of basic hotel ( or guesthouse) amenities . In the twin room that i was supposed to stay, there were old flyffy blankets and old used wool slippers. Very bad smell was coming from sewerage from the bathroom. I was not looking for something luxurious but couleur local yet clean and neat

Amazing hospitality and atmosphere! There’s a secret garden and they grow some organic fruits like grapes and muscats. Also you can have traditional Uzbek dishes for breakfast.

I can't recommend this place enough - my favourite stay in Uzbekistan. The location is perfect (around the corner from Gur-i Amir and a 10-minute walk to Registan Square), the property is beautiful (particularly the garden; a shaded oasis on a hot day) and the food is great (book dinner if you can). Also, owner Aziza is lovely and it's great value. What more could you want?

I can not recommend Antica highly enough! The courtyard is beautiful, green, and inviting, hosts are warm and welcoming, and the welcome snacks and tea service and daily breakfast were delicious. The room had everything I could need as well and was very nicely decorated. All at an affordable price.
