Hanoi Louis Hotel in Hanoi

The name "Skyview Hotel" is really just a name!
They might have one or two rooms with a view, but mine didn't have one at all..
Also no bathtub (in the description on booking it says, they have one) and the room was not as nice as on the pictures.
Staff not really friendly.
All in all, overpriced for what it offers.

- went to check in at hotel around 11:20pm. Guy ask my name and gave them my name. Last check in is at 11:30pm and unit is guarantee late check in by Expedia.

However their face shows signs of being worried. Reason being is that they do not have a room for us. They mention that the room light is spoilt and water heater is not working. So I asked the counter if he have given the room to someone else, he said no no no.

The guy at the counter tries to find us a room by making phone calls. He also asked us if we are okie to stay at other hotel and come back the next day. I told Him no ? Why would I do that when I have already made payment. ( showing my Expedia booking confirmation letter)

After waiting for 30 minutes, the guy came back to us and ask us to find another hotel first at 12am. We told him no, he suppose to find us another hotel and book and pay for us. The hotel fail to deliver our booking when we have already paid. The guy who is diligently searching for another hotel for us, is doing his best. But he isn't using the filtering option to the best, just searching page by page. A newbie kind of approach.

Waited another 1 hour and no resolution was given to us. We asked the counter to give us the cash that we paid via online which is estimated around 869992 VND. But the counter staff said that he does not have cash at the counter at all. Time is at 1am Vietnam time. Out of the blue the guy offered us a room to look at. We went up to take a look but it was a cleaner's room.

When it was approx 1am. He offered us to stay at a backpacker hostel. It was 100k dong per pax. The guy brought me and my girl to stay at the backpacker hostel. We wasn't very please with it as there are bed bugs and they kept on bitting my girlfriend till she has bumps everywhere. We left the hostel at 4am just to find a hotel to accommodate us.

The next day we went back to the hotel and explain to the manager what have happen. All she offered was a full refund for the two nights that we booked for but didn't stay. We asked what about the 200k dong we paid to stay. She said she can't do that. Our day was ruin as we didn't had enough sleep and one day technically was gone as we need to recuperate our lack of sleep.

If possible, just skipped the hotel it ain't worth the time and money to be there. There are much better hotel for the same price around the area or 5 minute walk away.

The male receptionist was unprofessional, we booked total 5 rooms, he's just took all the keys to us without checking, ended up we switched room by ourselves to solve the problems,
Another thing was that we extended 1 night, he didn't even check the booking, we were told have to switch to another room in the morning(because we're two but got a triple room first night)he's keep playing his cell,
Rooms' conditions wasn't very nice for the price in Hanoi, my friends was next to us, we shared one hot water system, so … you will have to wait for the hot water if next door just took a shower before you…and the bathrooms are connected before renovation, it left a gap in it so you could hear the voice of your neighbor, who maybe taking a shower or…
Breakfast was ok, served like all you can eat, but the staff put back the leftover fruit right back into the plate in front of us...
