Lucky 3 Hotel & Travel in Hanoi

We'd booked the night before we arrived in the morning so we could go to our room and catch a few hours sleep before sightseeing for the day after travelling overnight and not being able to book in until 2pm. We'd told them all this and they had confirmed. When we got there, not only had they taken the money because we were a 'no show', they'd resold the room! We were very tired and weren't leaving. They gave us a 'make up' room without a window, let alone a view! When we left, they had realised they had messed up and offered us half price rooms on our next visit in a proper room. By then it was too late, we'd already booked ahead. It's OK, maybe, if everything goes right. Honestly, I wouldn't take the risk.

Felt cat-fished by pictures and previous reviews. Wi-Fi is horrible, bed feels like a plank of wood with sheet. Both of our rooms between the 4 people I travelled with had horrible experiences. Shower in room was a glorified kitchen sink sprayer. Soaked our whole bathroom and didn’t have towels to clean it up. Room was covered in dust and dirt. Staff was not overly kind or gracious like some reviews say.

We rented the Deluxe Twin room in the hotel. The room was extremely small, we had to stack furniture on top of other furniture (chairs and tables) to be able to unpack and move. The room only had one window blocked by a concrete wall which was so close you could actually touch it. The door to the room has a very weak lock that you can easily pick on and open with a hairpin. I would not recommend leaving anything valuable in the room as everybody can easily get into the hotel.
