Location: 17 km from the airport of Phu Quoc island, 6 km from the centre of the resort area.

Consists of cottages and bungalows.

As soon as we stepped in I thought we were in Corfu, Italy. A mix of Corfu and Magaluf, Mallorca.
Classic very touristy hotel, with two floors apartments and full of kids. Two swimming pools.
They made us change from one bedroom to another and both bedrooms had quite good size. Equipment and furniture very old, not extremely clean… scooters they offer for rental, barely break, with more than 200k km.
Location very good, and beds comfortable.
Ok if you are looking for a place to put your family (kids) for a few days and keep them entertained . Breakfast buffet, wild and impolite people…
Far from being a place to go in couple, and less romantic.
As said, Ok value for its price, we paid 50€/ night…. Breakfast included.

Recommended yes, but I won’t repeat.

Booked this place last minute for Chinese New Year because there were no other options. Later, when I found other places, I tried to cancel three days in advance, but it was too late. They told me my 'order had been reserved,' which sounds nice, but based on historical data of over a thousand reviews, the chance of a refund is extremely low. Choose wisely, or better yet, don't choose this place at all!!!

This awful hotel's worst offense was the sheer number of mosquitoes. Even though we were practically sneaking in and out every time we left, there were still so many mosquitoes, making it impossible to sleep. Other small bugs were everywhere; one bathroom was swarming with them, rendering it unusable. There were strange noises on the roof, like snakes or lizards crawling around.

The breakfast selection was limited, it was an open-air setup with no AC, and again, full of mosquitoes and other insects. I picked up a pastry, put it on my plate, and a moment later it was covered in tiny ants – disgusting!!!

The air conditioning was incredibly noisy, rumbling like a tank and causing the entire room to vibrate.

The water pressure was weak and hard to adjust; the facilities felt like they were from the last century. I came back at 10 PM one night, and there was no hot water for a shower. It took three minutes just to see if the water was getting colder or hotter when I tried to adjust it.

We had two power outages on separate mornings, each lasting over an hour. It was incredibly hot!!!

Every day, the door lock wouldn't work. We had to call someone to fix it. The first time, the battery was dead. We waited a long time and finally had to use a physical key to open it. The second time, I don't know what the reason was, and on the third day, I had to go to the front desk again to get someone to open the lock.

The TV was tiny, had terrible color, and was clearly just for show.

If you can overlook the cleaning and the concrete in the shower, and ignore the squeaky doors, then it's livable. For me, the convenient location was more important. It's about a 10-minute leisurely walk to the sea, and you can ride a motorbike right up to the shore. The breakfasts weren't impressive, but I was prepared for that, so it's a good value for money.

This was our first time in Phu Quoc, and we were very particular about choosing a hotel. We wanted a relaxing getaway with easy access to the sea and good transportation, and this hotel absolutely delivered. First and foremost, you can tell the owners genuinely care: the hotel is well-maintained, they are very attentive to guest requests, accommodating, and always striving to improve. It's spotlessly clean; the paths are washed every morning, and rooms are meticulously cleaned daily. Our room was incredibly spacious. We were on the second floor, so we didn't encounter any critters – no mosquitoes or ants. The food was beyond excellent. The coffee was delicious. Every day there were fruits, watermelon, yogurts, desserts, soups, and main courses. It's best to go early though. They offer free adult bicycle rentals. There's a currency exchange nearby. There are two swimming pools with warm, clean water, but we didn't use them since the sea was right there. I'd also like to mention the location – in my opinion, it's very convenient. The sea is a short walk downhill, and there's a small beach. However, if you walk left (facing the sea) towards the statue, through the hotel along the shoreline, you'll find a more suitable beach for swimming. You can also rent sun loungers from that hotel for a fee. But we just took our towels and sunbathed on the sand. By the way, the hotel provides beach umbrellas and beach towels. We took the bus to the North public beach and Grandworld (the bus stop is not far), as well as to King Kong. Interestingly, the supermarket near the bus stop has prices similar to King Kong. There are many cafes nearby, including seafood restaurants, with prices lower than in the city center.

The hotel is decent, but I read many rave reviews and I don't understand why, as there are quite a few drawbacks. We stayed in a family room as a group of four, and also rented a room for two with a child. Now, about the double room – I specifically booked that room, but the staff wanted to 'upgrade' us to a bungalow by the pool near the restaurant. We declined because there's always music at the restaurant, breakfast starts early, and it's noisy there. Keep that in mind when booking.

We booked rooms in the new buildings. We were lucky and got a room facing the pool, rather than other neighbors. Otherwise, in other rooms, the neighbors are very close and you can't even open the windows. There were people living above us, and it was noisy. People walking down the stairs also created noise. The soundproofing is quite poor.

The room was dirty!!! I've attached a photo – and this isn't under the bed, but next to the table by the bed, meaning it's not a hard-to-reach spot, but it wasn't even swept. I'm not a demanding tourist; I know how cleaning is done in Asia, but here they don't even try. Bed made daily, trash emptied, and that's it.

The bed linen was worn, but clean.

Mosquitoes – they fly into the room, there are no mosquito nets. There's a lamp for catching them, but it's not enough. The lighting is dim; you can't read a book in the evening.

The shower in the bathroom leaks! You also need to be careful with the hot water, as there's a private water heater, and you could get scalded. The toilet seat doesn't fit! The most 'interesting' part started at night: something noisy, like a generator, was running all night behind the wall (either from another hotel or this one)!! It stops around 6 AM! We couldn't sleep in peace or hear the birds singing in the morning!

The hotel is always full due to tour groups. There's no beach near the hotel!!! And consequently, none in this alley either. There's a semblance of one, but only if you're lucky (it gets completely submerged during high tide). There are rocks and a very narrow strip of sand. Sunbeds from another hotel are there. If it's high tide, even this narrow strip of sand is gone. You won't be able to lie down or even sit on the beach. We walked to the territory of an expensive hotel, where it's free, but it's not a short walk, through jungle paths.

On the plus side – the breakfasts are delicious and varied. There are two pools on the property; the one near the restaurant is shallower, clean, and they constantly remove leaves. The area is green and well-maintained. In the evenings, large, beautiful snails come out.

There are various cafes and fruit stalls near the hotel.

Great location, with plenty of restaurants and a spa nearby, and just a 5-minute walk to the beach. The bungalows are very clean and surrounded by lush greenery, and each room has a huge balcony. The breakfast is more Asian-focused, but you can still find some more familiar options.

I really liked the room we stayed in. It was spacious, clean, and very bright. There's a lovely terrace where you can relax in the evening. The grounds are lush and tropical, with birds singing and roosters crowing, haha! The staff were sweet and friendly. The pools were a bit dirty when we arrived – the water was cloudy, and there was a lot of debris floating around. Breakfast was good; you won't go hungry. There are plenty of cafes nearby, and fresh fish and shrimp are sold by the main road, where they'll also cook them for you. What I didn't like was the walk to the beach; even though it's only 5-7 minutes, it's pretty terrible. (There's construction going on there now, lots of trash around, and a corresponding smell from the garbage bins). And at the beach entrance, you're met with a horrible narrow strip of sand. To the right, where you enter the sea, there are huge rocks everywhere. It's better to walk left to the Grand Ocean hotel's beach and find a spot in the shade. Otherwise, sunbed rental is 500k. Sunbeds a bit closer at the Coco hotel are 100k. But I didn't even like the sea itself.

The rooms were clean..and the location is in a quiet enclave of modest "villas"/hotels and cafes and shops. 10min walk to the beach. Another 10-15min walk to the main road where there is a modest size aircon minimart. You can talk the free bus to key attractions on both ends of Phu Quoc and international airport. Ideal if you want a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of the attractions. Price is super low...ard SGD60+ per night
