Sea Sense Resort in Phu Quoc Island

A truly relaxing place to stay if visiting Phu Quoc Island! Our villa was stunning and had direct access to the beach where we could enjoy sunrise/sunset views every day. The pool area and private beach are beautiful, absolutely spotless and the heart of the hotel overlooking the ocean. Where better to swim than this! Team is helpful and accommodating. Resort is quiet and perfect for families and couples alike. Expensive dinners comparatively but food is good and there are plenty of options. Beachside activities include kayaking and volleyball, but this is truly a lovely place to just relax and enjoy doing as little as possible! Breakfast buffets were delicious. Nice touches with daily chocolate and folk story given by housekeeping in evenings. A very well run and efficient establishment. A special mention to Nha in the restaurant team, who was very friendly and looked after us well. A big thank you from Amy & Raj! Cam on!

Sea Sense Resort Phu Quoc is in an excellent beachfront location with direct access to the sea and beautiful sunset views. The pool area is superb, surrounded by lush flowers and greenery that create a peaceful, tropical atmosphere. Even during peak season, it felt calm and quiet, making it ideal for couples looking to relax.

Breakfast was decent but a bit repetitive over several days, and the coffee is instant rather than freshly brewed. The resort is built into natural terrain, which adds to the charm, but older guests or anyone with mobility issues may find the hills and steps challenging.

Overall, a tranquil and well-positioned resort, best suited for couples and those seeking a peaceful beach escape.

We spent the second part of our vacation in a different room. Of course, from my perspective, the hotel has some drawbacks. First and foremost, its distance from places to eat and shops. Taxis solve this problem. Young and fit tourists walked, but the journey is about 1 km, steeply uphill, then downhill. The lock in our room wasn't working, but it was fixed immediately upon our first request. Housekeeping and towel changes were daily. The breakfasts were substantial, delicious, and varied. Food at the hotel restaurant is more expensive, but acceptable, although we've had better. There's a nice beach with excellent sea access. The grounds are clean and cozy. And the most valuable asset is the polite staff. This hotel isn't for partying; it's a place for a peaceful, secluded, and relaxing getaway. The sunsets are unparalleled!!! Would I return to this hotel? Yes. I recommend it despite the minor flaws. Therefore, I'm giving it the highest rating in this review.

Excellent hotel for those who prefer quiet hotels away from the main infrastructure. It's located on the peaceful Ong Lang beach, with golden sand and clean water, though sometimes there was some seaweed. The coastline is clean, and sun loungers are always available. Breakfast is good, with plenty of choices. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is a bit overpriced for the quality of the dishes, and the service there leaves something to be desired.

The villa room was nicely designed, and the private pool was outstanding and very clean. Amazing sea view with a beautiful sunset. Very friendly housekeeping staff, and the resort grounds are well maintained and pleasant. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety with attentive service. The on-site dinner restaurant is worth it mainly for the ambiance and the sea view, but the food itself was not very convincing. Since there are no other restaurants within walking distance, we often ordered via GrabFood, which worked very well. The location is quite secluded, but getting into town or to other areas is quick and inexpensive by taxi using Grab.

We stayed at the Chen Sea in January 2006 for 12 nights. Very lovely hotel situated right on the beach. The room was comfortable and very clean. The bed was a bit hard for me though. the breakfast was very good, there was everything you could want. Hot food, egg station, salads, toast, cereal etc. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and a joy to talk to. Especially Nha who was lovely and checked with us every morning if we were enjoying our stay. The sunbeds were comfortable and there were paddle boards, kayaks etc which you could use for free. The pool was very nice and the area clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We had our anniversary while we were there so booked a Wine and Steak meal. It was very, very nice, steak done perfectly. We also went to a BBQ Seafood evening, again the food cooked perfectly and varied. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Thank you to everyone for making it a holiday to remember.

That place is Paradise. If you are looking for tranquility & wonderful sunsets right on the beach, that's your spot.
The swimming pool is big enough to swim and in the same time it has an area for children. The ocean is suitable for swimming.
The resort has a good restaurant, but there are also other restaurants on the beach. You can borrow a motorbike and drive quick and safe up to the village, where you find laundry and other facilities.
If you are looking for a place to party all night, don't go there.
If you want to enjoy the ocean, the sunsets and need a calm area in Phu Quoc, Sea Sense Resort is perfect.
The people serving were sometimes bored, but overall - it was a wonderful experience!

my fiance and I had the most amazing stay at Chen Sea Resort. We stayed for 3 days and it was not enough!! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Facilities were beautiful, grounds were perfectly kept. Rooms were spacious and clean. We loved being steps away from the ocean. The shrimp curry at the restaurant was my favorite. We had an amazing 2 hour couples massage, which included scrub, massage and facial, right on the beach. They also had kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment to use. Every night, they gave us little chocolates and a Vietnamese folktale to read — it’s in the details!! We had the most amazing time and were so sad to leave. 10/10!!

Great hotel, perfect for couples as there are hardly any children. It's clean and tidy, but a renovation is definitely due. Breakfast is about a 3.5 out of 5. The beach is clean and there are always enough sunbeds for everyone. The best part is the privacy; no outsiders around!

This is a wonderful spot on the island. Probably the best beach – a calm bay, providing real solitude. Even with the hotel fully booked over the New Year holidays, I still felt a sense of peace and quiet, thanks to the large grounds perfect for walks. The view from the villa's terrace is magnificent, right on the sea. You can hear the surf and the sounds of nature. The villas themselves are in good condition. The pool is beautiful, clean, and very attractive. Breakfasts are impeccable, with a very rich buffet. We will definitely be back.
