The hotel was great, clean and good size rooms. Very noisy even though there is nothing in the area except a port if your doing day trips. The beach is within walking distance but it is dirty with rubbish and lots of crushed shells in the sand. There are not many food choices and is not populated like Ha Long Bay city. Cheaper than main city, but is it worth the isolation. This area is still being constructed, so maybe in 5 years it will be more busy. There is no walking path to walk to the other side where the food options are more prominent, the ferry terminal blocks of the access for an easy stroll.

Good location that is near the beach. However, the breakfast still has room to improve.

A lovely hotel and we felt we were the only guests staying but we were well looked after. It's location is somewhat unique but ideal for those embarking on a Ha Long Bay cruise

The view is good however our room was quite hot even when AC was powerful mode. Though I booked the room with balcony but we barely went to balcony to enjoy view with 3 condensing units there. The room isn't well-equipped. You can't walk to the beach from the hotel.

The hotel environment was nice, but when I went to check in with my confirmed booking, they said there was no reservation. I waited in the lobby for 30 to 40 minutes. Then the front desk told us we'd get a free room upgrade, but instead of the 1.2-meter room with a single bed we booked, they upgraded us to a 0.9-meter room. I was speechless. It was a terrible experience.

The hotel itself is very clean and modern inside however we arrived at 9:30pm and were told the restaurant closed at 10pm. We checked in and went upstairs to the restaurant at 9:35pm and were told we were too late and there was no food, there is no food around the property so that was a bit unfortunate. As we had messaged ahead multiple times informing reception the time we were arriving it would have been kind to have left something for guests to have on arrival, even a banana…
Be warned the ‘Pine Hill’ rooms are up lots of steps with no lift, the security did help carry the bag without any complaints and he was extremely helpful but it would be hard without help.
Check out is a nightmare as they have to send someone to check your room and ensure you haven’t ‘stolen’ anything, they tried to take 1m VND on check in as a deposit but I had read reviews that they charge for silly things such as shampoo on towels so refused and offered credit card which they didn’t want - doubtful you’d get your full deposit back so be cautious.

It is very convenient if you’re arriving for a night before your HaLong Bay cruise which we were and the Grabs are super quick to arrive and take you to the port.

There isn’t much they would have to do to up the standard of this hotel and improve their ratings, it’s a shame as the hotel itself is lovely inside and its pool area looks beautiful.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. My stay there was definitely soured. On the positive side, the rooms are beautiful and well-maintained, the bathrooms are spacious, and the cleanliness is exceptional. I also want to add that the breakfasts were very diverse and delicious, the restaurant service was excellent, and the room service and overall cleanliness were top-notch.

The woman who serviced our villa and rooms kept them impeccably clean and truly cared about the guests' comfort. I'm very grateful to her. However, there were other hotel staff members who were rude to guests. They would stop you and interrogate you about where you were going, asking if you were headed to your room. One young lady even dictated what I should do, telling me I should stay in my room and if I needed to go out, I had to call a taxi. Seriously, this happened! Another young lady at the reception desk was actively misleading foreigners. She claimed the resort was huge and the nearest shop was 4 km away, then another 6 km, so you absolutely needed a taxi. I walked in the opposite direction she pointed me in, and within 300-500 meters, I found a mini-market with goods and food (head towards the Marina pier). There's also plenty of food on the beach. Furthermore, this same girl lied to me, saying the café where guests could get free coffee was already closed and I'd have to pay for a taxi to get there. This lie was exposed the next day when I found the cafe myself (it's also not far, easily walkable, even though she tried to scare me by saying it was very far). She told me it was open from 8 AM to 5 PM, but it actually closes at 6 PM. She even yelled at me, insisting I couldn't be taken there because it was already closed (I approached the reception at 5 PM), and now I'd have to pay to go. Let me tell you, you don't even need a ride; you can walk there!

Why all these lies, dear people? All my good impressions of this place were shattered. Do not ask for help at the reception; you might be met with lies and deception. It's disgusting! And I also want to say that I am twice the age of these young women, and I am a paying customer. They are obligated to provide me with service for that money, and no one has the right to interrogate me about where I'm going or what I want to do. I am not obliged to report to the service staff. And raising your voice at a customer is unacceptable! So, I'm truly shocked by their behavior.

Some of the people who work there are very kind, good, and polite. But those couple of girls left me absolutely appalled.
