Hotels with beach in Northern Vietnam

We stayed with my wife (reservation under her name) Exceptionally located, beach side, amazing view. Great building, very modern and high standard. The spa/massage was good, but everything else was not great at all

Great location and customer service. The breakfast was excellent, serving Western and Asian cuisine.

It is a chance to live in the absolutely beauty! Service is perfect. Food. Indoor pools, onsens.. But the very best is location! Can recommend room with ocean view, its worth it.

The AC in the bedroom didn’t get below 21 degrees in the night even though I set it to 19. We paid extra for a sea view but the small balcony was cluttered with plants and had no furniture on it

Breakfast was good and B and B would have been a much better option. The hotel itself is okay, and as it was winter it was empty, and we like it quiet so that wasn’t a problem for us

We also asked for a bottle of water, but didn’t get one until my partner went to ask for it. As we were the only two guests in a huge dining room, this didn’t bode well

This stay offered not only comfort but also a memorable resort experience that I would gladly recommend to others seeking a peaceful getaway

The room was clean and tidy. However, the facilities are a bit old-fashioned compared to what you'd find domestically.

Great place to just enjoy the beach and hotel facilities! We were lucky to be there (end Nov) when there was hardly anyone else around so we literally had the whole place to ourselves

Located on its own island truly gives it a full resort feel. It's a short boat ride across and the boat itself comes on a schedule and is always on time

Service I received was excellent, from handling your baggage, to room service, the staff are very attentive

The Italian restaurant was my family's favorite, every dish was expertly prepared and pizzas are made with an actual pizza oven

Excellent!!! The room was large, clean and comfortable. There was also a driver who took us to a nearby restaurant and then took us back to the room after the meal. The beach and sea views were breathtaking

The hotel environment was nice, but when I went to check in with my confirmed booking, they said there was no reservation. I waited in the lobby for 30 to 40 minutes

Check out is a nightmare as they have to send someone to check your room and ensure you haven’t ‘stolen’ anything, they tried to take 1m VND on check in as a deposit but I had read reviews that they charge for silly things such as shampoo on towels so refused and offered credit card which they didn’t want - doubtful you’d get your full deposit back so be cautious

We first had some trouble with our room but the staff helped us and accommodated our request and moved us to a room with a great view. They are very friendly and helpful

Tuan Chau Resort is a great place for quiet relaxation. Very close to the Tuan Chau port if you want to go on a cruise to Ha Long Bay

I am looking forward to seeing what all the improvements are gonna be like when it's done. Will definitely come back in the future

The rooms were very spacious and had all your needs. The only snag is that it was a good half an hour to the centre but as we are fit it was no problem to us. Taxis ordered at reception were very cheap

The gentleman behind the reception was very professional and helped us book a cruise on the bay by offering his opinion which turned out to be a fantastic trip and one of the best that I have been on

As soon as you arrive at the hotel, a waiter will help you unload your luggage and open the door to welcome you. The room is very clean and the bed is big but for me personally the bed is too soft.

We took an open top bus to look around and that helped us. We also loved the Plaza and the indoor market was great to look around and buy a few souvenirs

The hotel's facilities are clean and hygienic, and the breakfast is rich and varied. Especially the desserts and fruits are my favorite

There were not many people eating breakfast, so it was a rare opportunity to enjoy a quiet meal

I really enjoyed my stay here, very polite and helpful staff and a great location. Just 5 minutes from the beach. Would definitely stay here again

The hotel is close to the Ha Long Bay wharf and the beach, which is convenient. The front desk manager is enthusiastic and can communicate in simple Chinese and English. The buffet breakfast is also very good

He goes above and beyond to call his boss to help us with the confusing Ha Long Bay cruises. I would recommend anyone to stay at Lavender Hotel for their Vietnam experience

Thomas the manager was very helpful, explaining and gave us the whereabouts everything are. Thomas himself cooked omelettes for breakfast just for us

The location is very convenient, there are many restaurants around, close to all the attractions and at the same time a quiet street. The room is a bit tired, but in terms of price-quality ratio - a good option for Hanoi

There are a variety of snack restaurants and it is a short distance from the scenic spots. The breakfast in the hotel is freshly fried and cooked. It is not very rich and there is no buffet, but it is enough to eat

It is an old hotel, room is okay for 3, it is clean I can smell the bleach on the bedsheet. Receptionist English excellent English. Also the food for breakfast is either toast bread with egg or Pho

The staff at the counter are responsive to all requests, especially the luggage storage is very convenient. The location is located in the essence of the old town

Fruits, coffee,tea or water is available. Overall it's good for and can recommend to all. They also allow us to borrow umbrella as it was drizzling some time

Hotel is accessible to all the tourist location in old quarter. we just walk around to the lake,night market,souvenir shops, and train street

The owner is thoughtful, friendly, and enthusiastic in assisting guests with their needs. The hotel also offers motorbike rentals and sells tours around the bay. I will definitely return when I have the chance

Staff are friendly, average value for money in vietnam, good for halong bay. East to find for our taxi driver. Vietnamese food close by. bedroom was good and clean. We had a small balcony out into the street on floor 2.

Good value for money, didn't spend much time in Halong bay apart from the accommodation. Had a neat balcony overlooking the street and the hotel staff were friendly :)

Good location for booking a day trip to Ha Long Bay. Clean rooms. Bathroom wasn't great considering the higher price (dirty shelves / blocked drain).

Stayed here for one night prior to our Ha Long Bay cruise. We had a lovely stay and the staff were very kind and courteous, offering to help us with every aspect of our stay in the area

The breakfast had ample choice and they were happy to provide extra vegetarian dishes for us. The pool is a delight, overlooking a beautiful private beach with soft white sand! We never walked there

Great area between ha long bay cruise departure and sleeper bus pick up. Both very close. Hotel was very peaceful, good night's sleep and great food. Big room with everything you would need.

Excellent location to overnight before taking a Ha Long Bay cruise. They even have a private beach to enjoy. The only negative is the breakfast. It’s pretty pricey and the meal selection is not that great

A buggy drives you a short drive to a beautiful swimming pool. We didn't go to the beach as we loved the pool

While I anticipated good food and service based on reviews, the actual quality provided by Emmanuel, Elle, and the entire crew far surpassed our family's expectations. It was truly a 5-star experience

The service from the staff from start to finish was exemplary. Pick up was a shared limousine van. When we got to the main boat we were served lunch which was beautiful. A great selection for all tastes

Happy Hour was twice a day and the bar man Alex was extremely generous with his portions. My partner doesn’t eat seafood (choice not allergy) and they always provided an alternative without a problem
