Amfora Hotel Spa in Durres

Spa closed (although advertised), deckchairs removed mid-week (while we still had 25 degrees), we had to go to a nearby hotel to enjoy the deckchairs (paying of course) Construction site on the beach, not cleaned. Stained cover, broken curtains. The staff should work considerably on their posture (smile 😃 😃, and the receptionists very often on their cell phones (we feel like we are disturbing if we have to ask them) I also recommend brochures, advice for excursions at reception... otherwise manage with the internet (which we did) Location: really close to the highway. While walking in the evening, we were able to enjoy entertainment (pianists, music) from several neighboring hotels. Too bad, hotel with potential to exploit!

Very well equipped hotel, unfortunately the operation was very amateurish, to the point of rude. Rooms very small and not very clean. Very noisy on the street side. Very nice Spa, unfortunately it is never on and the staff has no idea how it works. Breakfast very simple. Bread from a few days ago. Everything that was supposed to be warm was cold. A bain marie simply needs a heat source... 2 coffee machines for the entire hotel, 1 of which is always not working. Everything in paper cups... Anyway, I could go on and on. They also charge an additional fee if you want to pay with a payment card!

On paper it's a beautiful hotel but sometimes appearances can be deceiving. The location is a bit unfortunate because it is the last of the seafront before the port, so the quality of the water is certainly not the best. We had specifically asked for quiet rooms and it is probably only those with a sea view that are probably booked well in advance in this season. In any case, we were facing a busy road with windows that absolutely did not isolate from external noise, causing discomfort until late at night. The double room is quite small and spartan but the bed is comfortable. On the first day there were also two courtesy bottles of water which were never replenished. The shower is nice and spacious. Very sloppy cleaning. The breakfast has a good choice and the quality of the food is more than decent. The hotel is quite new but what leaves something to be desired is the poor maintenance and listening to the customer: I immediately reported that the safe was closed and unusable (among other things not fixed in the wardrobe...) and that the hairdryer it was broken but, in our three day stay, absolutely nothing was done despite further reminders. It's a shame to let go of such a beautiful, new facility. Good beach service included in the price. There is also a good sized swimming pool.

Welcome nothing special, I can say that the rooms are normal but not 4 stars, when we enter the room we find the window open and a lot of mosquitoes inside plus we were missing towels, I go to the reception to ask for towels and if they could solve it mosquito problem due to mosquitoes they gave me an air freshener and the towels never arrived and after a couple of hours I went down again to complain and the girl at the reception gave me two bidet towels and that's it plus I had to go to a shop to buy something for mosquitoes the next morning we left because paying for a room at 4 star hotel prices and having terrible service is not fair, plus I forgot the iPhone battery charger in the room I returned and they told me they didn't find anything, I can say that as is the name and also the service (AMARO).!! we will not return.!!
