Hotel Kristal in Durres

Horrible experience! The staff were rude especially the old man Wich was yelling at my family and was raising his voice and the young girl at the reception was arrogant and rude to.The rooms were discussing they were not clean at all
The bedsheets wer not clean the curtain s were smelling bad the toilet was with hair and no toilet paper there were also bedbugs Wich I could not stop itching for days and also I would like to mention that the free parking is a scam there is no parking and we got that hotel because of the parking that was mentioned every were in booking in Google page of Kristal hotel every were.the breakfast was ok not bad 😔 .and we paid more for the balcony with the sea view well they gave us a different room Wich wasn't included with a balcony or a sea view.also no elevator so I had to carry my bags and everything I had my self they would not even help 0 stars except for the sea view and the place it was at.dont go here!

Horrible, don’t waste your time to stay here! The beaches smell like poo, the 2 young girls at the reception were lovely and that really was the only positive!! This is sure not a 3 star!!! But location is directly on the boulevard, we booked a triple room with sea view!! Unfortunately this don’t exist at the hotel (as from the receptionist) only double rooms come with sea views!! I shared 2 pictures! This is your view when you are using the stairs

Stayed at this hotel for 3 days in late August 2023. Nice hotel, excellent location (on the beach). We Checked In and found the staff at the desk very friendly. Some of the staff is fluent in English. We were given a room with a terrace/balcony located on the 4th floor (room 43). However, there are NO lifts, hence, we asked for assistance to carry our luggage upstairs. We were advised that they do not employ staff to carry out this task. So it was a struggle to carry our luggage 4 floors to our room. Our room was modern, clean with air conditioning and good Wi-Fi reception. The terrace offered great views. However, we were not able to use the terrace due to the condenser unit being located on the terrace. Every time we used the air conditioner, the leaking unit outside flooded the terrace thus rendering the floor too hazardous to walk upon. Hence, we did not enjoy the terrace.
By far the worst problem we encountered was our ensuite. This was a little tired looking but clean with small cakes of soap, toilet paper, shampoo, a well lit mirror and hairdryer provided. The problem was the overwhelming stench of sewage that didn’t go away. Nothing could be done about this, so had to put up with it. This spoiled our stay at this hotel.
Our booking included breakfast which catered well enough for the tastes of diverse patrons including our party.

Shops nearby include a couple of bakeries, green grocer, a supermarket, liquor store, shoe and handbags and a multitude of restaurants.
Parking is not readily available at the hotel and one would be hard pressed to find parking close to the hotel during the busy season. Might be worth mentioning that the sea water at the far end of the hotel and hospitality strip, was black. A container wharf is located nearby.

Do not go to this hotel. The rooms are sold and whoever takes them first can stay. They are not helpful at all and want to send you to an expensive hotel from there. No compensation is given.
