Little Drifter Glebe in Sydney

I booked a private room months in advance through Booking.com. However, the day before my arrival, I was called and told that my private room was no longer available due to “damage” and that my only options were to accept a bed in a shared four-person room or receive a refund. Finding last-minute accommodation in Sydney is not easy, so I felt pressured to accept.

It seems they operate from two different buildings and accommodate guests in both. Be careful — the photos online may not reflect the building you are actually placed in. The building where I was assigned was in terrible condition.

The room smelled awful, there was visible mould on the ceilings and in the bathrooms, and the sink was flooded and not draining properly. The overall hygiene standard was disgusting. It honestly felt unhealthy to stay there.

Filthy. Bathrooms and rooms are simply not cleaned. Toilets have pee and defecation stains. Showers have snot on the walls which are not cleaned up ever. Rubbish and dust is sweeped underneath the beds instead of vacuums. Do not come here if you don’t want to catch a disease. Our door was also not locking. I have never in my life stayed in a place this disgustingly dirty. I seriously do NOT recommend.
