Much has changed since….
The prices were way to high for the quality of the food. We have waited for over an hour for the food, which was not quite wat we expected. After the disappointing experience regarding the food, we asked the waiter whether it was possible to split the bill.
He explained to us that this was not possible, because he was extremely busy serving other guests, and it would take 15 minutes to split.
After we insisted, he finally gave in and let us pay separately. Upon paying, he decided to give himself a tip “because that is customary”.
What should be normal in a restaurant, is a waiter that gives his very best in order to give his guest a great experience! The behaviour of this waiter however, was downright rude and arrogant.
I would recommend not to go here!
It truly feels like home away from home.
Our outside staff were fittingly apologetic, but as it turned out, someone from the inside staff had allowed other guest to ‘borrow’ the wheelchair ‘as it already stood there for one and a half hours’. Ah well, that would be because we were having drinks and dinner there, right?
The manager came, apologised, promised to call us a taxi to take us back to our apartment - asked us to go inside for a drink - and then left us. We had to wait ten minutes for some schnapps, poured to us by the guy who gave away my wheelchair. He didn’t apologise, just made up a whole lot of silly excuses. Taxi never showed up. Manager never showed up anymore either.
Long story not so short: I covered some meters with my crutches, we found a taxi who charged us 10 euros for the 400 meters we were away from our apartment and so far the wheelchair is not back and I’m stuck in the apartment.
