Avenue Hotel Baku in Baku

I entered in the room, the carpet was dirty. There is no TV working. WiFi is working only From near door rest of room is not connected with WiFi. Half toilet rolls kept in the bath room, there is no electric socket close to the cattle The cattle should move close to the bad to connect to socket to make hot water. Only 2 tea bags kept in the tea table with 2 small water All lights are not working. Only two staff working.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night because of 8 h night transfer in the airport. When I entered the room, it was very hot, the heating system was set to 30 degrees, it was impossible to stay in the room, I tried to change the temperature to 15 degrees, but it continued to heat. I had to turn it off and open the door to the hallway to cool the room down somehow. The windows in the room do not open. There are stains everywhere on the carpet, walls and the faucet. The room needs a renovation
The people at the reception are pleasant and friendly.

For the first time in my practice, the rating does not match reality. Who wrote the rave reviews? In fact, it is a broken-down dirty stinking hotel. The stained-glass windows have never been washed, heavy curtains are covered in dust, the wallpaper is torn off, the lock in the room does not work, the plumbing is broken, cold water flows from the hot water tap. It is very unpleasant to be there. The hotel and rooms are completely smoked. The location is far from the center, but on the way from the airport.

the good part is the staff who are professional and try to go the extra mile. however, other than that, unfortunately, i had a very poor experience overall. the room was extremely hot, no way to open any window, only has heating, which can be turned off but still very hot. i was SWEATING the whole time! ironically, the shower water only comes cold! (they said need to run the water for 15minutes before it becomes hot? this must be a big waste of water?) the room is big (superior room - they gave a free upgrade) but the carpet seems old. the breakfast is a shame. not generous and little care as to what food they put out. it starts at 730am, we went at 755am and there was hardly any hot food left. makes me wonder if they are serving the little leftovers from days before. there is no way this breakfast is for a 4 stars hotel. location, basically need to go by taxi anywhere, although this is known before booking.
